It is indeed. Though I find myself quite fatigued after the weekend and journey home. Was a pleasant journey enhanced by the most chavtastic young ladies at Kincardine. It would appear that all bus-related anecdotage of violence and madness is centred around Nick.

I had the entirely-chrome Rock Lord, whatever that was.
Today's been quite productive for a Monday. And, thanks to the miracle of making soup yesterday but keeping it for today, I freed up an extra hour this evening!

I am just getting over the lurgy. Down to a generic fatigue now.
In a rare bout of good news, I was told I will be getting a full deposit return on the old flat. Hooray. Should turn up some time next week.
Still waiting on word re: jobseeker's allowance. I do enjoy how you get fuck all help to get a job though. Literally nothing other than a few pennies every fortnight (apparently). I was in there today. Pointless. No wonder people get trapped in the system for years: there's no incentive to try unless you already are! Quite different from the incapacity side of the system, I must say.
Big Daddy was surprisingly in ASDA though, which made me very happy.

Its not exactly friendly help but there does seem an intent to get me back to work. As ending incapacity will mean returning to JSA I figure theres no point rushing back to health without seeing what incapicity help is available. Andy

Thankfully I have had little experience of the benefits system, what little i know is from when my dad left the army in 1993 and it did not make him a happy man.

Should turn up some time next week. Good to hear that you are getting the lurgy out of thy system. And excellent news on the flat deposit. Quite right too. It would appear that my cooking passes muster. My mother is staying with me for a few days and has sampled the corned beef and onion pie I made for dinner and has pronounced it good. I take that as a fairly high accolade (seeing as if it was terrible she would no doubt have told me....) Karl

After what seems like an eternity Cornelius has been spotted running around the house like a mouse possessed. I've found one of his bases. He's been hiding under the white drawer desk in the computer room. I've found some food there he has been eating.
Still much too fast to be caught, must remember to get some humane mouse traps this week.
