Brave, though Grand is pretty nice as well. One day I shall steal Nick's. One day...

I vote Grand, half because I like the character better, half because he looks swish. And another half because he has a /Pretender Shell/ yesssss

Brave Maximus for me! Love the colours.
For years I thought Grand Maximus came with a 2 feet high Pretender Shell for his entire robot mode, and was then devastated that the Shell was only for the smaller robot.

So did I. Babies and small children could have worn it.

I would check inside all your Pretender Shells tonight! Who knows what could be hiding inside them...

I do have a 15 year old pack of toffee popcorn in one of my classic Pretender shells. Bumblebee I think.
I do not know why, but presume my 11 year old self had good reason so I respect his wishes.

Brave Maximus is definitely the finest version of the toy in my opinion. He just has an absolutely superb colour scheme.

I know nothing about the other 2 incarnations of Fortress Maximus. I just know they're big. So so big. Wonderfully big! I've got a total man-crush on Fortress Maximus.

Brave Max has a cool colour scheme. In the plastic Grand looks nicer (damn Nick and his attempts to stop me from stealing his) but my favourite is Fortress Maximus which has the most bland colour scheme of the three but I like the character most (damn M's attempts to stop me from stealing his).

I agree with ralph. Grand just has the edge over Brave, though I do love the city at night look.
Fortress does have the most character by far, but toy wise Grand is the best.
Gold Max! Can you imagine sitting in the same room as it when the sun comes through the window and hits it?
But good news if it means a Fort Max reissue or new version.

If any re-issue came out, I would sell a kidney to buy it. Even if it's another Brave that means I could have one in robot mode and one in city mode!

Sirs,
I will be in the position to pick up a Fortress Maximus in a couple of months. Once a personal target is met.
I am contemplating getting one.
What is the going rate for a FM?
eBay says over a grand now for a good condition loose one. Is this even remotely true or is this an eBay quirk?
Elliott.

Nick & Andy K are your experts in this matter. Nick may be able to use his US skills to source one cheaper than that.

As far as I know Nick still has the one from Toy Fu, with the proceeds helping Marys Meals.
I can't remember the price was it £550 minus 2 or 3 small parts?

Yeah it was really nice, but probably most of the people who go to a con don't go with that kind of money so it didn't sell.

That was the ToyFu one. Whether it's still in their possesion or not is a different matter as Ralph intended to steal it.
