My cinema was showing the hammer horror Dracula this week, saw it friday night. Brilliant stuff. And seeing Grand Moff Tarkin wrestling with Count Dooku was highlight aplenty. Out of the three adaptations of Dracula I've seen, definitely my favourite. Though the 1931 version had its moments. Coppola's was bollocks.

It's a very atmospheric film and one of my favourite versions Dracula. There was a decent one in the seventies with Jack Palance in the role of the count.
Yeah the Coppola one was pretty rank.

I've only recently heard about a Frank Langhella one made in the 70s by the same studio that made the 1930s ones. (MGM?) Skeletor as Dracula? Must see!

I've seen it, but I'll be buggered if I can remember anything about it though.

I'm sure it will be on a Sky movie channel at some point. If you can watch Nosferatu by F.W. Murnau. It's Dracula with the names changed and it's pretty creepy.

The play put on by the Mercury Theatre (renowned theatre company co-founded by Orson Welles) can be found here along with a few other gems including The 39 Steps and The Prisoner of Zenda. Andy
