Hooray!
I think many of us can attest to sometimes feeling a bit wahey after only one drink, so generally I favour the view that if you're driving don't drink at all.

I personally think this is a great idea. I'd never dream of driving a car if I'd been drinking any alcohol at all, and neither would several of the other drivers amongst my family. I for one am very aware of the potential damage that a motor-vehicle can do, and so wouldn't be prepared to mix alcohol and driving at all.
I'm not convinced any such measure has any chance of passing Parliament unfortunately. But I would love to see someone make a serious attempt (i.e. one in the forum that actually has any power to enact it).

That article is very misleading. Does that mean its at two units now? It only mentions 'one glass of beer or wine', which can very greatly in number of units depending on the alcohol content. I think it's 2 units for beer at 3.6% - the most popular beers and lagers are already way over this.
Just ban it altogether. The whole units or 'one glass' thing is far too confusing and potentially dangerous.
