M & S does nice 'wise buys' sausages. For a banger to be a 'gourmet' one it has to have 40 - 60% sausage meat in em....yum.
I like bangers & mash with Bisto gravy, but I also like bangers & chips....Hmmm, bangers & mash, Bangers & chips, who'd win? Theres only ONE WAY TO FIND OUT............
FIIIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGGGHHHHTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!

Ta! Does anyone here like Scotch Eggs? I mean the proper ones you get in nice pasty and pie shops or home made ones? I think they are skill. I do eat the supermarket ones now and again but usually bite a bit of the outer bit and pour either a bit of Encona Hot West Indian Chilli Sauce or some of a sauce called Delish which you can only get from Barbados or specialist Bajan shops...My neighbours a mate and his folks where from Barbados and he gets shit loads of the stuff so easy to acquire....Yum!

The problem with scotch eggs is the egg in the centre. A waste of good sausage meat.

Eggs go in the middle not chopped. If they are chopped then they are party eggs and not scotch eggs." The distinction being made here is one that you may have to live up here to fully grasp - and being able to eat eggs probably is of some assistance. Karl

In these stressful times I have, as man does, turned for comfort in the sausage sandwich. Yesterday we tried the Asda Pork & Choritzo Sausages and today we compared them with our favourite Morrisons ones of the same combination. Both fabulous but in different ways.
If you haven't tried them, do, it's a great slightly smokey bbq taste from the pimenton in the choritzo.
