It is out. What you get for your fiver are the original comic strips from Titan TF-UK #1-6 and reprints of some of the 'head to head' and character profiles features. Think of it as the modern day equivalent of Collected Comics but sadly without an enthusiastic editorial up the front. For a fiver (considering each comic usually costs £2.60) it's decent value. Repro and the like is fine. Disapointingly, no art for the cover, just the generic Prime-promo shot that was used for #1 of the comic.
With this being volume 1, no doubt more will follow in addition to the regular comic. And then there are the IDW reprints. So, if you want to just read the originated UK strips, you can now pick the format/price-point of your choice, really.
I would have passed and waited for the probably larger sized IDW reprints but, well, copies were stacked in front of Spotlight: Grimlock and I had sunk a couple of pints before popping in to FP!

I've got one on order from Waterstones website as it's only £2.99. Similarly the new Titan reprint of the latter era Marvel stories is also heavily discounted at 5.99.

It actually works surprisingly well as a wee book in its own right, I found as I munched on my supper.

Arrived this morning and I have to concur with the Doctor on this one. A nice little book although I'd be a bit wary about the £4.99 price tag but as it's cheaper online at Amazon and Waterstones I'd recommend getting it from there.

I will be picking up future volumes from there then. Will skip the IDW reprints. This format works for me for reprints.

Handy thing about waterstones online is free delivery. So it only cost me £2.99 for it and the Best of from Titan only comes in at £5.99 as well.

Sounds like this is actually quite a good deal. Might be worth my while picking up in due course by the sound of it.

What stories does it have? I'm guessing from issues #7-13? I could do with a collected edition of Twilight's Last Gleaming.

I won't be bothering with any of these volumes. I don't mind reading bonafide manga books but full-sized comics downsized into a manga form just doesn't cut it for me especially since I've already read the issues contained within.

Well, I thought the strips looked fine at that size in volume 1. The lettering looks much better at that size.
I imagine IDW will do US sized trades following on from the single issue reprints. But as the Titan digests are so cheap I'll stick with them. Volume 2 is only £3.50 on amazon, volume 1 is around a pound on amazon marketplace. I imagine IDW trades will be around a tenner.

Cheers.
I'll no doubt pick that up in due course, possibly creating a unique special edition which omits Starscream's Militia!
