Will it be any better than last years Movie Annual?

Same publisher, so expect a similar standard. I suspect it will be reprints of storybook material if it follows the same format.

The annual is in The Works as part of a "three for £10" offer on annuals and children's books, which works out at £3.33, less than half price. I picked it up along with books for two of my nieces. (That's the Christmas shopping started.)
It's very feature heavy. There is a cartoon strip - a photostrip type, using stills from Blast from the Past (renamed here as Attack of the Dinobots) - whilst most is made up of profiles, "how to draw" pages and various puzzles and activities.

Theres a The Works store in Leicester so I might pop in at the weekend and flick through it before making my decision on whether to purchase it or not.

I think all the Works stores round these parts have closed down, darn it. I must purvey this slice of tat.

Woolworths also sell annuals so you might be able to find one in there.

I had a flick through this at The Works in Leicester today and am not too impressed with it. The story only has about two frames per page with boxes explaining each picture and a few one-page character profiles that don't give away too much information. Throw in a few bog-standard puzzles and you have an annual that isn't worth the money shops are charging for it.

"Hope to pick up the Hulk, Iron Man". Sounds like the Avengers Christmas office party.

WH Smiths had some copies beside the Torchwood annual. The placement of both together amused me.
Yep, it's crap.

WH Smiths have knocked it down to £1.99 (along with all the other kiddy annuals).
I must resist.
