"Hardwired" and the like. How many of them were there?
I recall "Hardwired" being bollocks of the first degree, but a morbid curiosity is drawing me towards the others....

IIRC there were another two in the series, from the late iBooks (and a short story collection). Then there was nowt until the 2007 Movie adaptation and the prequel novel by Alan Dean Foster.

Book 2 was Annihilation and Book 3 was Fusion.
I still have a grudge to bear with Turnbull for "lending" Hardwired to me and subsequently "allowing" me to keep it. Forever.

Yeah, I can dig that. There's only so much in-depth description of how hot a male character is you can take.

I didn't bother with the other iBook efforts. 2007 Movie novelisation is readable (I prefered it to the film), prequel is garbage. -Ralph

You could fire it on ebay G and use the monies for The Hub's running costs. There must be some daft soul who would take it. Andy

I brought Hardwired expecting it to be some cop but it turned out to be terrible. I got a quarter way through the novel and stopped reading it. Of all of the TF continuities why did it have to choose the Dreamwave continuity for its setting?

The sad thing is it wouldn't have mattered which continuity it was set in, it was going to suck ass. Big style.

It chose Dreamwave continuity cos that was the current one.
Should've chosen Ladybird Books...

The only true continuity is the Ladybird Books continuity.

My impression is that the problem with "Hardwired" (based on the extracts that folk inflicted upon me in the pub) was that its main problem was simply that it was really badly written - at the bottom end of the "tie-in novel" quality scale - not which particular continuity it was situated within.
It was a work of hackery and that was what made it poor. But as I say, that is based on extracts as those I encountered were sufficiently horrible that I opted not to spend any money on it.

Eugenesis remains the finest Transformers tale published in book format.

I shall have to read Eugenesis at some point as I've yet to hear a bad word about it.
