Sounds like All Fall Down and End of the Road combined in one edition.

Well in that case, I'd like to ask everyone to buy this. Please spend your cash so i can get books a bit cheaper.
Thanks, Gavin Spence

I will not be buying this as I already have AFD and EOTR in HC. Sorry.

My current hypothesis is that there's an agreement between IDW and Titan for them to split reprinting the material.

Amazon have solicits for a second Best of Volume - although the title and the contents do seem a bit at odds. Volume 2 which from the contents would appear to be Beginnings and New Order (from the previous Titan run) with Spider-Man appearances intact. But the title says G2. A more attractive proposition than IDW's book purely on the grounds that crucial issues are not omitted. Andy

Flicked through this in Waterstones. It has the 5-issue Matrix Quest story, skips a couple of issues afterwards and finishes off with Marvel US #69-75, minus the last page of #75. There's a new intro speil from Furman.

You mean it doesn't have the godawful Dwayne Turner issue?

Nope. Furman says its left out due to the bad art in his intro.

It's a not bad book though I do feel that Primal Scream could have been included.
One thing Waterstones online do not send out books in cardboard like amazon but in jiffy bag style envelopes so some minor creasing on my cover. Bah!

Really? Well that's them lost my business then. A bookseller that sends out books unprotected? Bollocks to that!

I took the free-shipping option so I have no idea if the first class option does proper packaging but I don't care as amazon manage to send everything out in cardboard.

They did the same with Transformers: Adventures vol 1 but with a smaller book there's not much problems but with a book the size of The best of TF it needs a cardboard shield.

Nope. Furman says its left out due to the bad art in his intro. -Ralph Less Neo-Knights? THANK PRIMUS! What's the other issue that got skipped?

Awww. Why'd they cut that one? Since Galvatron's important to the plot, I'd have thought they'd include that.

Furman explains that all you need to know from that issue is that Galvatron gets snatched and as that's kind of summarised in the main run it is actually expendable.
It reads pretty darned good actually (though Primal Scream should be in there) and ending as it does with the second last page of On the Edge of Extinction it feels like the proper endcap of the Marvel run of Transformers. A much more satisfying ending than the additional five issues and it's truncated end.
