My all-time favourite sequence of dialogue is the private conversation between Optimus Prime and Scorponok prior to the battle with Unicron, just before they get attacked by Unicron's followers on Cybertron. (US#74.)
"Prime, may I speak candidly?" etc.

In Dinobot Hunt (my 2nd fave TF story of allllll time (after Man of Iron (even though Prowl's not in it))), answering Prowl's question about if he can keep Grimlock and Sludge in the water, Optimus Prime answers:
"Yes, yes I will! Or die in the attempt!"
Marvellous.
I have quoted this in one way or another in converstation EVER SINCE.

While there are many - intentionally or otherwise - hilarious lines from the old comics series, as a child I was genuinely quite stirred by Goldbug's speech to Ultra Magnus when he goes off to confront Galvatron alone in the 1987(?) annual. The little guy almost immediately became one of my favourite characters.

Just scanned in 2 pages from Toyfare #60. Did Scor in BW have any good lines. can't remember much of anythign he said - other than the scrap over the missile & then going splat.

Poor Scorponok was really just the setup guy, lining up the better dialogue from other characters. Still, there was that one joke he made about being an arachnid. As Blackarachnia would say; "Clawful."

I can't remember any line from the comics but I can remember one of the most oft use speeches in the original movie:
'One shall stand, one shall fall' - Optimus Prime in his final battle with Megatron.

That was also used in Cybertron & the new Movie - quite a few bits from the original [even thought you cant tell what they are saying - why couldnt they do the sound bad when Sam was talking]
