There are only enough poll options for 35 choices, and with there being (by my reckoning) 41 Transformers episodes in 1985, we need to have a nomination round.
Make your nomination from the choices below;
Autobot Spike The Immobilizer Dinobot Island Traitor Enter the Nightbird Changing Gears A Prime Problem Atlantis, Arise! Attack of the Autobots Microbots The Master Builders The Insecticon Syndrome Day of the Machines Megatron's Master Plan Auto Berserk City of Steel Desertion of the Dinobots Blaster Blues A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur’s Court The God Gambit The Core Make Tracks The Autobot Run The Golden Lagoon Quest for Survival The Secret of Omega Supreme Child's Play The Gambler The Search for Alpha Trion Auto-Bop Prime Target The Girl Who Loved Powerglide Triple Takeover Sea Change Hoist Goes Hollywood The Key to Vector Sigma Masquerade Trans-Europe Express War Dawn Cosmic Rust Kremzeek!

I haven't seen most of them. I fear this will be biased towards cartoons released on video in the UK.
I was going to nominate Desertion of the Dinobots.

Avail yourself of youtube, my good man. Also, you can watch them on Hasbro's website.

Aaaargh! I can't vote! There's too many of these I haven't seen! I wouldn't worry about it. Although I will have seen them all, many of the titles meant nothing to me. Just sample what you can, then pick something based on that.

Another vote for Desertion of the Dinobots here. Was my favourite video as a child, and to this day still remains my favourite TF episode/s.

The God Gambit was pretty good, but my vote has to go for Sea Change for going so hard against the grain of season 2- a premise that sounded terrible (Seaspray goes to another planet and falls in love with a mermaid who can also transform using a magic pool) that was actually rather fun to watch.

Same as Martin, I'm more biased toward the ones released on VHS in the UK as they're the ones I've seen the most.
Hard to choose between things like Powerglide's misogynistic ways in The Girl Who Loved Powerglide or Autobot crossdressing in Masquerade.
Then there's some great stuff that never made it to UK VHS. The Prime clone in A Prime Problem is funny stuff, Optimus Prime saying "boobies" in Prime Target, Omega Supreme letting on that his speech impediment is all an act in The Secret of Omega Supreme...
But I'll nominate The Key to Vector Sigma, it's the video I watched the most as a kid and I always liked the bit where Rumble steals cars to make the Stunticons.

I would have made a nomination here, not that I'm that fussed about the second season of the Sunbow 'toon but in the interests of fairness. The only two stories I halfway enjoy have, however, already been nominated so I have been beaten to the punch.

For the record:-
"Desertion of the Dinobots" - because the Sunbow Dinobots are always entertaining on those rare occassions they let them out of the cupboard.
"Megatron's Master Plan" - because it demonstrates a level of sheer stupidity that is epic in scale even by the standards of American action cartoons of the era and therefore becomes amusing in unintended ways.

I'd have to go with 'Autobot Spike' - as it mirrors the Frankenstein legend in some respects - and it was always a favourite as a child.
Although Cosmic Rust deserves a mention for the line from Optimus about the rust not having an effect on his aim - and then promtly misses when firing at Megatron.

That's four and a half nominations for Desertion of the Dinobots (Karl being the half). Do we really need a poll?
(I suppose we do, on the possibility that everyone else joins forces tactically and goes for The Girl Who Loved Powerglide...)

DO NOT WATCH 'THE GIRL WHO LOVED POWERGLIDE' OR 'HOIST GOES TO HOLLYWOOD', NO MATTER HOW BOOZE YOU HAVE HAD. -Ralph As Agent Simmons said:- "Never will" As to whether we need a poll or not, I would like vote for "Desertion" but there would be an outside chance that at the actual moment I might go for "Master Plan". Doesn't look like it would make much odds to the actual voting pattern mind you. Karl (Of course, as we know, pre-election day polling doesn't always reflect actual votes in practice. So who knows...)
