Who was/is, in your opinion, the most dangerous Transformer... ever!

Ooooooooooooooooooooooooooh, I think it has to be Galvatron! Before and after he went a bit mad.

If we are going by the toys then God Fire Convoy. He nearly gave me a concussion when he took a header off the shelf. :-)
But in a more serious note, whilst Galvatron has to be a real contender for this position I find myself inclined to nominate a less expected candidate - namely Soundwave. He may lack the raw physical power of others, but in the UK comic he managed to maintain a priviledged position in the Decepticon chain of command for a considerable length of time without getting scrapped or noticeably betrayed. Managing to stay within a few steps of the chair of the Boss and not get taken down has to count for something.

Definately Soundwave - especially with stories like Dinobot Hunt and Secrets backing him up...

Dangerous to whom? Optimus Prime was pretty dangerous to Decepticons, Metroplex to the Quintessons, Jhiaxus and the Liege Maximo to the universe at large. Heck, yes, Jhiaxus was more dangerous than Galvatron from the humans' perspective. Is Unicron a Transformer? The scariest Transformer is easier to define: Dirge. Martin

I trapped my finger in G1 Optimus's Trailer once while closing it up.
So my award goes to G1 Optimus.
In terms of 'most dangerous' in the fiction - I'd say Unicron - surely? World eater?

I'd say most dangerous would mean 'if they want you out of the way, you're gone'
UK comics Magnus would qualify. His only equal was Galvatron and he did beat him a few times
Galvatron obviously. And Shockwave. Pretty much if you go against either of them, you get nobbled.
And honourable mentions to Deaths Head
I would say that the most dangerous Transformer in /any/ canon would be Devil Z, though I don't know if he counts

Thinking about it, bringing home ANY Transformer is dangerous for me - the missus would have a fit!

I initially was going to go for Galvatron, power incarnate etc, but, given the fact he's as mad as a wilderbeast with a bee up its bottom, I think I'll trump for Megatron, nearly as much power, but got the gumballs where they count (most of the time anyway).

hmm... this question is hard, given that Transformers had a tendency to not die, and that the subsequent year's toys had the uncanny ability of being more powerful than even the most powerful of last year's toys...but...
I'm going to go with something a tad unconventional: Predaking
I think Galvatron is too much of an abstraction really. Besides - for all his super power, he is ultimately mortal and ripped apart.
Predaking, on the other hand, is described as the ultimate Decepticon weapon. The perfection of the gestalt process, supreme strength combined with lighting fast speed (imagine a gestalt that is NOT a "big clunker" but rather a stealthy hunter like Predaking).
In all honesty, it is no wonder - in my mind - that the Predacons ended up following the Decepticons, because I imagine that, like in the fabulous Beast Wars Fanfic by Neale Davidson, Predaking DOES rule the Decepticons eventually.
In any event - he is the most dangerous Transformer, barring abstractions like demi-gods and their creations.

In his first comic appearance, a badly damaged Megatron blew Predaking to bits with one blast from his fusion cannon, while others like Optimus Prime, Galvatron, Shockwave and Jhiaxus could withstand such blasts, so... not convinced. Sorry, Pete!

Megatron. Because as powerful and insane and all that as Galvatron was, Megatron was the one guy in the galaxy that Galvatron couldn't kill...

Scrounge! He had a special hand! A hand like no other!
Imagine what he could have done with it, had he been less clumsy/weak.

Was there one that transformed into a detonator plunger?
