So three months ago I somehow found myself working as rotoscoper on Prince Caspian, I was happy (it got me out of Asda temporarily) and not a little shocked at how this happened. A couple of weeks ago the below trailer appeared, http.vitalstreamcdn.com/bvimflash_vitalstream_com/PrinceCaspian/InternetTrailer/Caspian_Trlr1_Rev1_High.movAside from including a shot I worked on (I think, its hard to tell) the thing that got me most excited was the company name that pops up at he beginning. Walt Disney. Since the age of 8 Ive wanted to work on a Disney film and now I am. OK not the kind of Disney film I was thinking about but I'm not complaining about that. I knew it was a disney film but till I saw the trailer it didn't register. And now I just found out my contract is being renewed for another 2 months till the end of production (at least our part). Oh as for the film itself it looks much better than the first one, thats mostly going from the trailer as most of what I see is men running around in green tights. Andy

That's awesome Bogatan. I'm looking forward to this film.
Will you be working on Voyage of the Dawn Treader too?

I might consider watching this film when it comes out despite being disappointed in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe mainly because I had read all of the books and thought it paled in comparison to the BBC TV series of the late eighties.

Also because Aslan is not Liam Neeson! Aslan is two men in a modified pantomime horse costume.

Most things are improved with a pantomime horse costume.

I've never been a huge fan to be honest, caught bits of the BBC version. Listened to a few of the audio plays since starting. Maybe the books are a bit fuller but I was a bit surprised how little plot they tend to have. On the plus side that maybe makes it easier to adapt. Will you be working on Voyage of the Dawn Treader too? I dont know what I'll be doing in two months (fingers crossed half blood prince) let alone 2 years sadly. Still keeps things interesting. Andy

One book the filmmakers should not adapt is 'The Horse and his Boy'. This one is more far apart from the Chronicles of Narnia than what the others are. It is set during the adult reign of the Pevensie children in Narnia and Aslan makes very few appearances in a story that is set largely outside Narnia. Two talking horses (who get married at the end) and their 'owners' are the stars along with a fair bit of religion thrown in.

I liked the BBC version of Chronicles of Narnia. I don't think a modern audience would take to it well though. For me however, it is lovable cheese.
