I've booked it in to print next week (we're quite busy at work right now, which is good, considering!).
It's very exciting!

Just For Fun, I'd re-coloured the cover in original Mini-Autobot flavours.
I played around with the idea of a variant cover, but instead opted for the free poster option.

A Free! poster! Oh, that takes me back.
Will a future issue have a Free! magnifying glass so we can hunt for micromasters?

Poster stuff RULES.
I was looking at the TMU#20 Actionmaster poster only the other day.
I like the magnifying glass idea. That was tons of fun!

I've been writing In The Night Garden slash fanfic for three years - what have I missed? Can I still buy issues 6 and 7 of Hubris?

You can indeed, but I think the links are out of date at the moment.
When I get things ready for issue 8 (next week) I'll update with a new "back issues" section.
And yes, I did see your "Erotic Adventures of Iggle Piggle"...

Posters are great, aren't they?
I think there's gonna be a "wrap around cover poster" for Hubris #10 to celebrate getting to double digits.

Mine also arrived approx. 24 hours after ordering, and it's spiffy. First thing that dropped out (into my hand) was the shiny poster of a mean-looking Huffer and his pals - with the exception of Bumblebee, drawn true-to-the-toy - like 'The Mighty' - which I think is excellent. Make the robots look like robots, that's what I say. Then came the magazine, and for an awful moment I thought the front cover had had one of those colour-reversal printing errors as a homage to the old Marvel comic. But no - 'tis a cunning re-use of Matt's art tying in with the main text story. 'The Mighty' is a superb epilogue to 'The Enemy Within'. Wonderful in every respect - well done, Graham and Matt! Sticking with the classic comics, 'Walking With Dynamite' (thankfully not 'Dynomite') is a comprehensive exploration of the Dinobots' vices and virtues. Very well written and researched - though of course your claim that Grimlock is the only Autobot to hit a comrade is begging for someone to prove you wrong, and we only have to go back to 'The Mighty' to find such a culprit*. Slight shame your exploration of the Dinobots' team dynamic didn't extend to a mention of 'Another Time and Place' and the cracks that appeared as they lost the ability to transform. (Not sure whether your "Did they heck as like!" was a yes or no on the blame question.) *or forward to 'Time Wars' 'The Guard' was a welcome return to the long dangling teaser that was the original 'Guard' comic strip. Like with your 'Robots in Disguise' and 'Beast Machines' stories, it started out with best of intentions as having Part 1 in comic strip form, but reality kicks in and the only way to tell the full story you want to tell in a reasonable timescale is to switch to text. No matter, it's a corker of a story (set in the Timecode alternate timeline, I assume) featuring Prowl (hurrah!) and some re-colour characters that actually have story logic behind their being re-colours (though we don't know what it is yet). But damn you, Thomson, you just had to go and do something nasty in the last paragraph, didn't you? How mean... Then we had three character profile sections - the A-Z Commentary discussing story appearances, the A-Z entries of Leadfoot and Powerdive, and the tech-specs of three Micromasters - in descending order of the satisfaction they gave me, as the first focuses on actual events in the characters' lives in the Marvel comic universe, while after reading the last I can't even tell what Patrol or Squad Barricade and Bombshock are in, though Barricade is apparently as fast as Blurr and the other two Micromasters as strong as Optimus Prime. (Reminds me of some of the fan characters in the early days of TMU! ) But the reproduction of the A-Z and tech-specs layouts are flawless nonetheless. Finally we have the review sections. 'Spotlight Sixshot' is a comic I haven't read, but the review is useful in telling me I haven't missed a must-read there. 'Landmine' I found interesting, as I didn't pay any attention to the live-action movie toy range, but am very familiar with the film, so it's illuminating to see the use of these vehicles, as described in this and the previous two issues of Hubris. Finally, a review of 'Robot War: A User's Guide', which well, let's be honest, wasn't quite a review in the same sense as the other two, since unlike them - and unlike what I'm doing now - you didn't really say what you loved and what didn't work so well - but that's a valid choice when talking about your friends' work. Many thanks for giving me a most pleasurable hour of Saturday reading, Graham! Roll on issue... er... #4? Martin

I'll certainly be ordering a copy in the very near future. I enjoyed the previous Hubris I brought which I think was issue 6.
