Dropkick is a toy I've been anticipating for a while.
He's a pickup truck, cast in grey and a dark bluey purple. From above he has a very large Decepticon symbol stencilled on his bonnet and cab roof. The truck bed is taken up with a claw mechanism that extends out the back of the truck by sliding a button up the truck bed. Said button then turns to open and close the claw. Pretty silly gimmick, and it effects the design of the truck by raising the truck bed to the level of the top of the sides of the truck. Fortunately the claw mechanism also serves as his hand weapon so the entire thing can be removed giving you a much more traditional look deep truck bed.
TF: Pull slightly down on the bumper and fold the arms out in front of the truck. The bumpers fold out to the sides, and you can then fold hand guns down. Fold the front wheels up and to the sides which causes the doors to fold forwards. Fold the sides of the truck bed out to the sides. Fold the legs and hips (which were under the truck bed) down under the cab. Fold the feet from inside the legs out to the front. Fold the lower leg down, and the foot up. Fold the heel spur out. Fold the lower leg back at the knee/wheel and fiddle around with the leg till you get the best and straightest pose out of it. Fold the central spur of the flat bed up, and then fold it down half way so the bumper ends up on his backside. Fold the flatbed halves in behind the back, and then out again at a joint a little way along. Fold them up at a joint a little bit further on to form wings for the robot. Fold the bonnet halves back so they lock onto the sides of the cabs. Fold the cab top back revealing the head.
Resulting robot is again very detailed. There's a strong hint of the movie spindly limb styling here, but somehow it comes across more as a RID vibe - especially Prowl and Sideburn. The legs are a problem in that he's almost centaur like front the knees downwards. You can get something vaguely straight out of them but it ain't perfect. Even so it's still a very nice toy, lots of styling and very poseable - ball hips and shoulders, folding joints at ankle, mid lower leg , knee and elbow plus a swivel at the neck.
Nice toy. Buy it.
