I've just won a radio competition to win two tickets to wednesday's Judas Priest gig in Belfast, and I have passed them on to my brother and my best friend.
The question was, from the presenter, "What's my favourite Judas Priest song?", and knowing the dude personally, me and my girlfriend Trisha emailed in every single Priest song from the early albums, and even rang his mates to ask them.
Tried to win at all costs, and eventually me and another guy shared the two pairs on offer, upon which I rang the two lads.
Trisha and I already have tickets, but this resulted in us staying in on saturday night when we had planned to go to a gig, and took three hours of emailing, texting and listening in.
And you know what? I feel fantastic. It was something totally unselfish that took a bit of sacrifice, and we both feel on top of the world right now.
I don't really know what I intend to discuss in this thread, I just wanted to say the doing something completely selfless absolutely rocks.
