I was thinking of picking this up some time until I realised I never did have enough interest to watch all of the yarr version.

Dunno. It was released Monday, I had an email yesterday confirming dispatch, and it was here today. Service not to be sniffed at. For me anyway. And oh my. You will love it.

Couple of little tweaks here and there that are slighly jarring. The cut between two pieces on ep4 is a little odd - different to the episode - but has to be to get the entiriy of the second piece in including a bit only heard in a different episode.
There might be a missing bit of music from the final Imperial Master vs F-01 battle (need to check) but that's the only ommision that's possible.

On Christmas Day morning I watched a couple of special features on the DVD. First was the Brian May music video which, although good quality was ruined by a framing effect around the side of the video. I then watched the documentary which interviews Go Nagai and others. That was okay but I still thought it would have been better if the documentary was narrated by someone between interviews rather than it just being several interviews one after the other and then an odd clip from the show before a few more interviews.

The thought has occured .....
The 30th anniversary of Star Fleet's first airing is coming up.
I am sorely tempted to blog watch it. Would you read? And can you think of a name for the blog?

Yes.
And the title needs to be:
Um...Bongo? Really?

I would definitely read such a blog. As to a title..... Hmm, that is more difficult. "Quantum Read" or "Hyper Read" leap to my mind, but it is late at night so the brain cells aren't firing on all cylinders...

Dr. Benns Surgery? The Dai-X Junction? The Thailian Zone? Calling Capt. Orion?
Yeah, I'd read it!

Mike Yates does not have a Lobster on his head.
Captain Carter is not a traitor, he was brainwashed

"By Your Divine Guidance" ?
Liz has just watched her first episode of Star Fleet. It didn't go well for her. My wife is obviously odd.
