Eh? I am not downplaying anything!
I've only ever see the Star Wars films once and even then I was dragged along to the reissued ones in the late 90s by my housemate at Uni.
So I'm very sorry to say I cannot remember the colours of the light sabers.
But anyway! I am glad to hear Andy's penis is better. I didn't want to ask really, thinking it would be rather ungentlemanly to simply blurt out, "how's your penis?"

Well I've had an up and down day. Spent the morning at STRIVE prepping for job interview tomorrow. Unfortunately, I got in a fankle with the chap at the train station when trying to buy train tickets for tomorrow which were about £20 which STRIVE paid for but I got the wrong tickets and can't use them tomorrow. I can't possibly ask for another £20 so that's a bit of a blow as it's a week to the next JSA payment. It says something for how thin my mood is these days that I immediately went into a foul and terrible mood and abandoned plans to go read a book in the library to relax.

Awww crap. Sorry to hear that, Ralph. Did you try enquiring at the station about changing the tickets round to the right ones? I am only guessing you didn't realise the tickets were wrong until you left the station.
Hope things perk up for you.

Interesting day today. Had a meeting this morning with the upper echelons of my employers to discuss my future - being as my post is being done away with in March. Don't feel that much further forward than I did yesterday, but at least I have put down markers as to which of the new posts being created I am interested in. (And also found out that my maths is correct in terms of what I am entitled to by way of redundancy payment if I don't get any of the new posts I am interested in). I think my life is currently in the "wait" part of "hurry up and wait" in a professional sense.
Spent the rest of the day working through a wodge of assorted stuff I want to get off my desk before Friday so that I can leave the office with a clear conscience. Ended up staying in the office until six to get a few things done. Fortunately I had a good dinner to look forward to and have started a long promised re-read of Cyteen, so the journey home went rather well.
Friday tomorrow, and I am well and truly looking forward to the weekend.

I could swear it fizzled white. It even went out for a second or two. -Ralph Assuming we are talking about lightsabers this is true in a couple of shots during the ANH Darth/Obi-Wan duel. One shot was really noticeable and surprisingly they didn't bother to fix it until the DVD release. As for colours, due to a fuck up Darth's is more pink than red in the latest versions. In other news I didn't get a job today. Still at least they let me know about it.

I love reading all the stuff you tell us about Piglet, bud. Maybe in a couple of years I can share stories about one or two of my own kids also. ===KEN I'll drink to that, dude! (sorry 'bout Titch by the way) Currently, Piglet is insisting that babies don't have legs. We think it's got something to do with a small wooden baby figure that's part of her dolls house (the same dolls house I wanted to turn into Destro's fortress, if you recall). The figure is dressed in a 'baby-grow', and indeed, doesn't have any legs (as the other members of the wooden family do). We've tried our best to assure her that babies do infact have legs, it's just a case of they can't use them yet, but she wont have it. She also used the word 'actually' in context today. Scarry stuff! You sure you want one of 'em, Hero!?! Hope everyone's penis is ok.

Mine is fine.
Not long back from a trip Edinburger for a panel interview for a job. Frankly, I gave the interview of my life. If I can't get a job after that I'll never get one. But it's not over yet, oh no. Back on Monday for the 2nd panel interview. Thereafter the manager is off for a few days so I'll find out end of next week. This would be the ideal scenario: a fresh start in a fresh area (the land of Edinburger) with genuine potential to actually develop a career and the perfect sandwich between what I used to do and what I could do in the future.
Or it will be back to rotting on the dole. We'll see.

Mine is also fine.
Today was a day for unexpected hostility. Not in the 'ordinary urban scene exploding into violence' sense- I wouldn't call that unexpected, for a start. Just... people being miffed at me for seemingly no reason.
This morning I got told off by a bus driver for hovering on the step for three seconds to let another fella who was running for it catch up. The driver told me it was his decision whether he waited for people and not mine. I felt terrible. What arrogance on my part, forcing an entire bus full of people to wait THREE SECONDS. I bet that three seconds put him behind the entire day.
Anyway, then I got to work. This one gave me a chuckle.
At Toys'r'us, we're a team. If someone's finished early, they'll give someone who isn't finished a hand. This is human nature. If someone still has something left to do at the end of their shift, they will usually be shoved off to the canteen by other staff who will finish up for them. I do it myself regularly and happily. Yesterday I spent five brain-numbing hours inserting two pallets worth of board games into the Games Wall. I even went back for more. And more. By 6 o'clock I had one board game box left, and a couple of preschool toys (placeholders- we nearly ran out of board games after Chimbo) I had had to take out to get the new games in. I told my department manager, and he said no bother.
I came in this morning, said hi to my supervisor as I passed, and headed up to clock in. I came down to start my shift and asked her what she wanted me to do.
"You can start by moving those boxes you left at your bum last night. And don't do that again! We're telling everyone."
Okay. There's only one blue-shirt on in the evenings now. I guess they've got their own stuff to be getting on with. I found my boxes as I had left them and stuck them in a handy gap further up. Five minutes work. I thought no more about it till lunchtime, when my department manager mentioned that my supervisor had put my boxes away last night. I expressed confusion, and we quickly managed to piece together what happened.
I walked past the games wall when I came in this morning, and I'm now sure the boxes weren't there. My supervisor must have put them in the stock room last night to keep the place tidy, then while I was upstairs dumping my jacket this morning she ran off, picked them up and put them back the way they had been so that I could put them away like I should have.
It's only now that I remember that yesterday I went past my supervisor several times over a period of two hours ferrying games out of the stock room and going back for more. She was sitting at the Babies desk having a chat with her mates. For two hours. Then she goes to such extra effort to teach me a lesson for not staying behind an extra five minutes to finish my work.
Ah well. You've got to laugh.

Nice V day for us too. Received a very swanky card off Mrs Shockprowl, gold writing on black velvet! Swing! She's going to caress me with it later...
Worked the night shift last night, so today I'm as tired as a Frenchman who has lost his pair of self removing trousers.
Uni Ironhide continues to disapoint... What a to do. Quite the distaster. I am hopefull that the mold will fit Ratchet better. But what 'bout Ironhide? My 'New G1' collection MUST have an Ironhide. Wonder if Uni Ironhide's head will transplant onto Energon Inferno. But then I'll be without an Inferno! I suppose I could get the new Uni Inferno, but I've got the Graple version of Energon Inferno, you see, so they fit great together (what's he called? Inferno Volt or something?). What to do!!!!!!!

There are mysterious new ducks on the canal here. I say mysterious, there is no mystery as to what they are. They are in fact Tufted Ducks. The mystery is from whence they came, as they were not here last weekend but are here now. Poor things had to cope with the fact that most of the canal is still frozen right across from bank to bank. The ducks and the swans are less acquatic than they are pedestrians at the moment.
The ducks were not the most surprising thing to be found along on the canal this morning though. I was walking along when I suddenely realised that staring at me from across the other side of the canal was a Roe Deer. It looked at me for a moment, as if telling me to "move along, nothing to see here", so I left it in peace and continued my wander along with bank. Lovely thing to see on a cold Sunday morning though.
I seem to have spent the rest of the day alternating watching Star Fleet and cleaning the house. Hopefully I am most of the way done with the latter now so I don't have to worry too much during the week. It did teach me a valuable lesson though - when dusting your plastic robots, it is wise to remember which ones haven't been done for a while..... I ended up putting a fair-sized dust cloud into the air from one of my Valkyries - I sort of watched it settle onto the carpet with a sort of dumb-founded "chaff, honest guvna" look on my face.

Had a great valentine's too, I sent Trisha a dozen red roses to her work (first time I've ever sent flowers in my life), and she went mental with excitement. Such a simple thing to do, but the comeback was amazing!!
Spent the weekend completely chilling out, having the valentine's meal next friday, as I can only imagine how crowded places will be this weekend.
Nick, bollocks to that petty bastard of a supervisor. Put your story across to your boss plain and simple. Just tell the truth, don't settle for bullying at work man.

One of my colleagues had flowers sent to her at work on Friday by her husband, which I thought was a lovely thing for him to do.
I always used to get in trouble when I arranged flowers for my last girlfriend. Along the lines of "What's that for then?" and "What's the point, they'll just die". (One of the hazards of dating someone utterly practical). :-)
