There's a comic convention in Cardiff this year, Cymru Con. Details are sparse on the website at the moment, though there is an initial guest list. (There are some Transformers-related guests, though they'll be also be at Auto Assembly.) www.cymrucon.co.uk/Seeing as Bristol is scaled down this year, perhaps this might be an alternative for some people. It's the weekend before Auto Assembly, though, so not ideal for the budget-conscious. |

I'm possibly going to go. Not too sure, yet and the venue isn't confirmed either. I may also be away at camp that weekend or working.

Poo! It's been cancelled.
An email has been sent out to the mailing list today and the homepage now displays this message:
Cancellation
It is with much regret that I have to inform you that the Head of our organising committee has been forced to cancel the Cymru Con on the 8th August 2009.
I would like to thank you so much for your interest in our event and I am so sorry to have to cancel the Con. Our main sponsor has had to withdraw their financial backing, and with the current economic climate this has simply made it impossible to be able to put on a large event such as Cymru Con as we have been unable to secure further financial backing.
Many thanks again for your interest – here’s hoping for a Welsh Con in 2010.
