Now that Red Nose Day's been and gone, here's a good cause you can all help without it costing you a penny: earthhour.wwf.org.uk/what_we_do/Switch off your lights, your computers, switch off everything for one hour, make the world go dark, and send a message to politicians to act on climate change. It would be great if we can have no messages posted on the Hub forum between 8.30pm and 9.30pm on the 28th to show solidarity with the big switch-off. And tell your friends and family to sign up and do the same. Martin

As I am staying care of, I can't make other people in the house switch off anything.

As I am staying care of, I can't make other people in the house switch off anything. I should have said 'invite' friends and family to do the same, not 'make'. (And that itself is an invitation and not an order.) Pleased to see the message went around the entire organisation at work today without me mentioning it. All the high-profile buildings and landmarks in Cardiff will be going dark. Depending on the weather, I'll either go for a walk or light some candles. Martin

I might try and do this, excepting I'm not at work - I don't think me going around turning off all the projectors in a cinema at peak time saturday night will go down well!

We did it! Every thing 'cept Piglet's night light. Actually ended up lasting 'till midnight playing Trivial Pursuits! We know how to have a good time you know!
Any one else manage it?

I couldn't manage to switch everything off - my freezer has nearly a months worth of food it it that I didn't really want to lose, but pretty much everything else did go off. Karl
