Kind of looks like they might be kicking off with a riff on Days of Future Past.

Watching it without sound (at work), i kept going "Yay! Quicksilver" or "Yay! Kitty Pryde!"...
But i'm glad they're just being honest and calling it 'Wolverine and the X-Men' which has been pretty much the overall tone of the X-universe forever.

Your comment reminds me of an ISB comic review, Ralph. It went something like
"If you've ever loved the X-men*, it's worth checking out.
*Don't lie- we were all 15 once."
And that's it. It's music that (many) 15 year olds like, all angst and manufactured rock. It's not my favourite form of music but it's exactly what fits the target audience.
The film itself looks okay- a wee bit soapy (but again- it's X-men) but still a hell of a lot more inspiring than the mince Ultimate Avengers films. Not sure how it stacks up against Doctor Strange and Iron Man as I haven't seen those yet.

Watched this with the sound off in the Uni Library. Looks good, and it is good to see some new X-Men animation too.

That trailer was.... unsuccessful, in the sense that it makes me less likely to want to watch it rather than more likely.

Same here, but then my interest in X-Men in general* is minimal so I'm not really the target audience for this.

When is this to start? & what about the new Spiderman one too? Not on sky at all.
Wolverine and the X-Men - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Wolverine and the X-Men is an animated TV series that has been confirmed by Avi Arad. [citation needed] It will air on Nicktoons Network in the first quarter of 2009. So far, most of the characters shown in a promotional image are dressed in their Astonishing X-Men and Uncanny X-Men costumes with a few slight changes.

Still not made it to the BBC but it's on YTV in Canadia and it's on the other BBC (BroadBandChannel) and is up to Episode 5.
Rather annoyingly Gambit is in episode 5 other than that the show has been surprisingly good. Using the threat of the Days of Future Past timeline as an impetus for the X-Men getting back together after a few key players were taken off the board inside the first few minutes.
Senator Kelly is involved and unlike Claremont's take on him as a noble but misguided chap he's in full-on villain mode here.
Nightcrawler is in next week's episode - hurrah!

If it does finally stumble its way to BBC2 I may well give it a go. Karl

Episode 12 finally has Cyclops cutting loose, marred only by the very end of the episode being a tad predictable.

Episode 12 finally has Cyclops cutting loose, Speaking as someone who would rate Cyc as amongst his top three favourite X-Men characters, that is very good indeed to hear. Karl

Busting heads and taking names and out-badassing Wolverine.
Also bonus points for the episode having Madrox in his classic Kirby style costume (more or less).

I'm just at episode 8, and I'm still surprised how much I'm enjoying this. Even Storm isn't annoying me. And it's so nice to get back to Proper Wolverine. None of the convoluted angsty backstory bollocks the comics have now saddled him with.
And in a shocking move Xavier is not an arsehole! Hurray!
I do like Quicksilver as a character in this. An amusing plonker!
If X-Men comics were as fun as this, I'd buy them.

The writers have wisely learned that folks hate the fact that Storm in every animated incarnation just made speeches and bored the hell out of folks.
