I made the mistake of going out for drnks with colleagues this evening after work. This was unwise. I am seized with a sense of existential angst that I am hard pressed to define.
I have a disturbing feeling that the bank holiday is going to be filled with serious consideration that I could probably have lived without......

The gaffers at my workplace didn't have the decency to tell me if I was working on Monday so I'm having the day off!

Been away, first devon for a week then 5 days in London where most of the time was spent looking after the boy.
Have you not had your ears done before Karl? The effect is extraordinary.

Worra week. Too much work, not enough sleep. Today is of course the first Saturday after payday so TRU was MOBBED. I barely had time to catch my breath. Time to chill out for a while.

Have you not had your ears done before Karl? The effect is extraordinary. Nope, never had it done before. I may have to have it done again in the future, judging by the fact that my grandfather also has problems with his ears and I tend to take after that side of the family physically. It is indeed an impressive experience. I hadn't realised just how much my hearing had been diminished. I've turned the TV down four notches, and I am much more aware of the traffic on the road outside the house. It is wonderful. Interesting day today, I have found myself the recipient of much free comic book day tat (as ever there are some gems, and some things that are....less memorable) and have seen areas of Glasgow that I wasn't too familiar with. It is always good to get out and about on the feet and enjoy the good weather. A good walk can do wonders for the state of mind. If the weather holds up tomorrow I think I shall get out along the canals. There are swans, herons and ducks that I should be checking in with. Karl

That's not good. Fortunately the fleshy parts of the tomato, being reddish are at least fairly easy to locate when seeking to clean them up.
Took advantage of the glorious weather to get another stint of walking in today. Did eleven miles along the canal between the Falkirk Wheel and Linlithgow, then dondered back to the house to put my feet up with a book and drink a well-earned couple of large mugs of peppermint tea. Very good way to spend a Sunday.
I think I may spend the Bank Holiday monday pottering in the kitchen and around the house. Quite looking forward to the not having to get up early part of the equation.
