Good news! My apple tree is flowering! Hopefully this paves the way for some fruit from it in the Autumn!
Now I just need to figure out how to make cider...

They did it on it's not easy being green last year.
I ate something dodgy on Friday and my tummy is still not happy. Either that or I have swine flu.

According to the Guardian today, the butterflies are disappearing. I wonder if they are in league with the bees. 'Sixth Extinction Event' coming, according to one bloke. Jings.

They are probably off having a summit meeting and arguing about the appropriate level of punitive response to ecological damage..... I do have to find this rather ironic - the media start up their "evil-killer-mutant-space-pig-death-flu is coming to kill us all!" panic-inducing machine, just around the time that Karl goes down with an unpleasant cold. Folk on the train are probably looking at me like I am Typhoid Mary or something.... Other than that the week seems to have started off on a depressingly familiar footing. In the office until five to six, and still not getting done everything I wanted to. I think that it is going to be another one of those weeks... Karl

I've just opened a bag of Skittles. 50% of them were orange.
That is all.

Radio 2 is playing ace organ music. It's like being in Blackpool's Ballroom.

I've got the morning off as I had an appointment with the nurse to get my easr syringed this morning. The results are quite startling. It feels like I have never had hearing quite this good. I had got so used to my hearing being somewhat restricted that it feels like I can hear things with a clarity I don't recall having before. Quite frankly I feel like Daredevil at the moment.
Except without the not being able to see thing obviously.

It is amazing how good your hearing is after the nurse has been near it with a syringe. I never feel like Daredevil afterwards though. No, I feel like...THE KINGPIN OF CRIME!

Daredevil... but with sight? Watch out Falkirk criminals is all I can say! Fair to say that I'm not planning on picking any battles where I am outnumbered a gazillion to one...... Being a Man Without Fear is one thing. A Man Without Common Sense quite another. Karl

Ahh, you're so The Man, Karlos!
I was banging the bread board over the sink to remove crumbs, earlier this day, after making luncheon for myself and my Piglet. When the Small One said "Too loud, Daddy, you need to be more quiet". Great. Another female in the house nagging me all the time..... ('least Piglet likes my Toys! Not like the Other One).
Oh, I've also been discoverying recently just how interesting the Spleen is (for one of my essays, not 'cos I'm, you know, mental or anything). There I was just thinking it's a highly vascular organ 'n' all, but there's sooooo much to the Spleen than that! I'm teaching Piglet to say "Clean like a Spleen!"- 'cos Spleens clean, you see. Blood. They clean blood. Amoungst other things. It's funny Damn it! Oh get off my back, all a yous!

The place I briefly and disastrously worked at have agreed to pay me for my small amount of time there. Who knows when or how much, but it's something to look forward to, especially as the last 9 job apps appear to have come to nowt.

Once again, Poundland brings me joy. Cadbury's 'Old Jamaican' dark chocolate bar with rum flavour and raisins. Mmmmm! I love it and am utterly addicted to it. I must have more! MORE!

Just spent an hour buying tickets to see Greenday. Bloody nightmare three of us going only 2 tickets per order and the standing appeared to be sold out from the first second. In the end had to set up an account for my brother so I could buy the third ticket which is to other side of the stadium.
Still I finally get to see Greenday.
Next to the KC stadium website for Hull v Stoke tickets. So that will be another couple of hours wasted, but it's my final chance to see Hull win a game this season.
