This one has been waiting for the treatment for a while, I got it a good six months back so it's a bit late now for you to be taking my recomendation on board !
Scorponok
When the Legends line started it provided smaller versions of existing toys, evolving to use these moulds to provide newer versions of older characters and eventually new small toys for older characters. Along the way it reverted to type for the movie and gave us smaller versions again. Some sold well, other (Megatron) didn't (the numbers left on the shelves are rumoured to have contributed to the collapse of Woolworths in the UK !) The last few Movie legends were sold in two packs.
Scorponok is an all new mould sold with a battel damaged repaint of Movie Bumblebee.
Downsizing the Scorpion mode looses us the jabbing tail gimmick, the leg and most of the tail articulating and the powered claw gimmick. We get a beast mode that looks very similar to the larger version with two bending joints towards the tip of the tail, ball jointed shoulders & elbows on the claws and rotating claws. Quite a lot of the gold is gone but there's more black on the sides of the scorpion with a Decepticon symbol toward the rear.
TF: as per the larger version - the sides fold out to become the legs, the claws fold down to form the arms and the head folds down.
Robotmode is proportionately taller and thinner than the larger version with the height being gained in the upper legs. The fixed beast legs stick out the front of the robot legs which give you ball joints at the knee & hip to go with the articulation found in the beast claws that now form the robot's arms.
Great reduction of a pretty decent larger toy - would work great as a Beast Machines drone toy. Sadly to buy each one you need to get another Bumblebee !
