Video will not play.
The licence holders have indeed made some odd decisions. There's a reason why Doctor Who is a huge franchise again and Blake's7, er, isn't.

Now that is a treat and no mistake. I've oft wondered if these would see the light of day. Brilliant.

What are the Blakes 7 audios like? I keep thinking about picking some up. Has anyone heard any of them?

I have heard Warship and Liberator Chronicles vol 1 and enjoyed them. I have vols 2 and 3 of the latter in my digital 'to listen to' folder. Avoid Lucifer though!

I am buying these slowly, they are generally good but some better than others. Liberator Chronicles Vol 3 is much better than 2. I was edgy with them bringing in their own characters so soon with the Vol 2 release. 3 is a great interlinked story.

Who are Bayban and Maxil?
|
|
|
Post by blueshift on Apr 2, 2016 10:32:22 GMT
Bayban was Colin Baker's Blake's 7 character, in black leather and studs and earring. Maxil was Colin Baker's Doctor Who character before he was the Doctor. He had a gigantic helmet.

And maybe just the episode with the giant ants.

But I don't think that ep is as good as everyone else thinks!

It's an odd one. I used to think it was one of the best, but I rewatch B7 every few years and recently have come to the conclusion that it is horribly, horribly sexist. There are some terrible cringeworthy moments in it. Kerril is a badly flawed character.

I'm on the fence on that. Not sure if it's sexism or just horribly written characters.
Coming in the same season as Harvest of Kairos though, that makes anything else look progressive!!!

Power seemed to be more taking the piss out of the whole 'battle of the sexes' thing, though then when you look at his other work I'm less sure!

Power seemed to be more taking the piss out of the whole 'battle of the sexes' thing, though then when you look at his other work I'm less sure! Yeah by itself it's innocent enough. But when you see it's by the same person who wrote the other two. Kairos is just crass but there's some really distasteful stuff in Moloch.

I've sort of blocked Moloch from my memory for being so boring.

I'm still shocked about Paul Darrow. Losing your legs must be impossible to get used to. You always tend to see your heroes as infallible.
