Well, £40 a series... £120 for the entirety of Series A, B and C... :-) Karl Yes but the Doctor Who equivalents now are £55 a set. £40 for 13 episodes of Blake's 7 is much less than I'd have expected given all the new model filming and documentary extras.

Blu rays have dispatched! Very excited!
There's an interview with Michael Bryant about directing B7 in this month's SFX with some extra notes about the Blu-rays. It has a breakdown of the discs like DWM does for the Who sets. There's a lot of new extras, which is great.
I do B7 rewatches fairly regularly so this time I'm going to up the stakes and include all the Big Finish audios in the order they slot into the series. That way it'll probably take however long it takes the Blu-rays to come out for me to get through everything.

Mrs Ralph says he can have some "TV time" tomorrow evening so we can start on Blake's 7. She has never seen it so should we go with watching with original effects or the new ones?

Depends. How does Mrs Ralph usually do with watching older television shows now? Some people are ok with things looking their age, and some aren't so forgiving. I think the answer depends on how she tends to feel about these things, and you are probably better placed to know that?

Like the DW discs, the new effects are very nice and I'll only watch them once. I like my archive tv to be of its time.
