Episodes 4 and 5 where quite underwhelming to say the least. Andy Yeah. The Web is almost redeemed by the ending conversation between Blake and Avon though where Blake defends the horrid monsters ripping through the scientists (if I recall correctly) "They're fighting for their lives!" "Well who ISN'T?" Coming up you have: Seek-Locate-Destroy - Cracking stuff Mission to Destiny - Middle of the road, but it has some great Avon moments, especially near the end Duel - Aka 'The Arena'. It has some nice parts though. Project Avalon - Very enjoyable Breakdown - Brilliant Bounty - I have good memories of this one, I think it works well Deliverance - It turns out Avon is god. 'nuff said. Orac - Decent enough, other people like it more than me though You're definately over the worst of it though!

Is that the one where Avon gets brainwashed and turned into 'Blake' and the whole implication that 'Blake' was a creation by the Federation which happened again and again? Honestly it was an interesting idea but a bit eh. Also c'mon Ralph, why havn't you watched all of Blakes 7? Aaaaaaaaaaa

Well the Beeb only repeated season 1 a few years ago and I could only find a few VHS tapes of S2. Whenever I see the DVD's they are silly money.

Is that the one where {Spoilers removed by Federation Ministry of Communications} Honestly it was an interesting idea but a bit eh. I quite liked it. I thought it fitted logically with the tenor of the first couple of episodes (not so much with some of the later episodes of the series, but those didn't really fit tonally with the opening either..... Blakes' 7 contains multitudes) Karl

This afternoon I'm doing the research work for DW: Ark in Space while Jonathan watches TV. Since Peter Tuddenham is involved there's some Blake's 7 stuff going in, the season 1 B7 actors who've been in DW.
During the course of this I've ended up realising that the name Orac is derived from Oracle as in "a source of wise counsel or prophetic opinion". THIRTY years and it never occured to me before.

BF's first Blake's 7 novel. Decent writing team, may give it a whirl. www.bigfinish.com/news/Blakes-7--The-Forgotten-Original-NovelThey have explained their audios are not full-cast as that is a separate licence but with several of the cast no longer available that's fair enough. At some point I must see the back half of season 2 (and seasons 3 and 4) as what I have seen was smashing and made quite an memorable impact on me. -Ralph

Yep, quite pleased with the choice of writers on that - and it sounds like the premise is in the right sort of ballpark for that era of the show. Might be willing to give that a go.
