Apparently, this BBC serial is touted as a tense exploration of politics and the press. Is it bollocks. Complete nonsense from beginning to end. Utter hokum. Watchable though, mostly down to a good cast and a camera that spins about a lot. Also, novelty is gained from watching the actors who later played Sam Tyler and Gene Hunt in Life on Mars shouting at each other. Hurray.
But not bad for a £4 bargain bin find, especially for some of the guffaw inducing 'twists' and any time David Morrisey cries (which is a lot - there should be a drinking game for that).

I must have picked up it in the same sale. I thought it was very good. Very tense, great acting, recommended.
