I've just been given a £20 Amazon voucher from a supplier through work. Bribing me, they are!
This is my chance to get myself a free All Hail Megatron and change to spare (it's £11.49).
Should I? Shouldn't I?

On the one hand it is very pretty, and if you are morbidly curious and it was a free voucher then it can't hurt.
On the other hand it encourages IDW to publish more stuff like that if more people buy it. Also it is crap.

Stay away. If you have a £20.00 voucher move into the General Comics discussion and we will all give you recommendations of stuff you might want to read and could actually enjoy.

If you want to get /any/ comics, I would strongly recommend All Star Superman. There's two volumes, and they are literally incredible

Dev, Rev and Spotlight v2 are great
The Avengers crossover is horrid. Such a wasted opportunity to get more people interested in TF.
The plot is that Megatron has a hate ray that makes the Autobots and Avengers fight each other. The end.

I already have volume one of All Star Superman... just trying to find volume two that isn't a hardcover*.
(No offence to the hardcover, but I got volume one in softcover and I want them to match.)

If the online previews tickled your fancy and you think you might enjoy it, buy it. If they did not, then no. Take the opportunity to sample something new, whether a graphic novel or any kind of fiction. Or plug the gaps in TF trades with anything else.

Hopefully we have convinced you not to buy AHM G. Now it's time to recommend good stuff to you in this thread here. Andy

At AA2008 I picked up a few IDW trades for about £1 each I think it was and I got them signed by Simon Furman as well. This year I'm hoping to pick some more up for a similar price and AHM is among my wants list because I have no intention of paying anywhere near full price for that kind of stuff.

I would by AHM v.1 if it came sandwiched between two naked nypho girls glazed in honey.

I'd pay £100 for that! I'd just throw away the copy of AHM and get to work on whats left.

I would by AHM v.1 if it came sandwiched between two naked nypho girls glazed in honey. For ?20? Well, maybe, so long as they re-apply their own honey.
