Naturally, I still think that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is the great show ever shown in the history of the universe.
However.
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is the greatest show ever shown in the history of the universe that does not have any robots, transforming or otherwise, in it.
Has anyone had the pleasure of seeing the first season (only 14 episodes)?

Well, it does have a Computer in it...one of the latest models at that!

I've heard of it, but that's all. There's loads of things I've missed out on recently. I just seem to be too busy, even to do the things I want to do so anything new is at the bottom of the list.

Well - I do recomend it. If you don't watch it, it is quite likely the world will end.

I've read a few of the adult manga books online before made (naturally) by fans of the show.

Ah - that would explain why the world hasn't ended yet. Whew. In any event, I have yet to read the books - although I must admit to really loving the anime Pete

My God, Haruhi Suzumiya is an awesome series! It's so fresh and innovative.
I mean, the concept of a clueless protagonist who doesn't even realise that the fate of the world rests on their shoulders is not exactly new, but it has never been done like this. I own the first two Manga's, the first light novel, and the first series. They all tell the same story, but it's such a damn good story that I love reading/viewing these new takes on it!
I think the second series is airing in Japan currently. It will definitely be picked up for release in the west next year, and it WILL be mine.

Personally, I agree with the theory that the first noun is synonymous with the second.

That would make you an Esper. I'm just here to observe the phenomena.

Well, it would make me in agreement with at least one, and most likely many of the Agency, but I never thought of myself as an esper...and while I grant that it is possible I have ESP, I am not nor have I ever been a member of the agency; nor am I able to summon my (suposed) ESP powers at will like Espers are. Quite possibly this is due to over-saturation of closed space or due to the ESP powers themselves merely being an illusion built by Data Entities that are out to get me... Hard to say. One thing's for sure though - I think Yuki is the cutest of them all Pete
