What stuff on film done for real blows your mind?
I recently learnt that the car jumping and spinning across the river in 'The Man With the Golden Gun' was a real car (albeit without a human driver), and that blew my mind.
The massive battles in the Ron Steiger / Christopher Plumber 1970 film 'Waterloo' done for real using the Russian army as extras blew my mind.
Learning that Jackie Chan and Hee-seon Kim shot an ice-cave scene from the film 'The Myth' in a freezer just to get a realistic shivering and cold-breath effect, and almost passed out from the cold, blew my mind.
I'm sure people here know tons of martials arts examples.
Anyway, what are your favourite examples of special effects done without any special effects?

Because Chuck Norris was a stuntman before before a (less than great) movie star he did all of the stunts in his own films rather than hiring a stuntman to take over from him. As for incredible stunts done for real in the movies and on TV I've seen a few but I can't quite remember the exact films I've seen them in other than the James Bond films.

Michael Crawford in most of the episodes of Some Mothers Do 'Ave Em. Some of those set pieces were really well done and quite dangerous.

Summer Glau's scene as River in the movie Serenity in the bar scene when she goes nuts after watching the subliminal advert. She delives some breathtaking action moves in one unbroken shot.

Well, OK, everything except the somersault and the Nazi car falling out of the sky.
