How much of the license fee cash was wasted on this I wonder.

It is only slightly less fake than the Metro's Push-me-pull-you story this morning.
The thing is though that people have a tendency towards believing what they are told by what are called "credible authorities". Sometimes when it goes against what they already know, or even the actual evidence in front of their eyes. It's a thing about how human beings are wired.

I thought today's Metro's 'new BMW automatically electrocutes any dog daring to pee on it' article was the best since the 'Barr's Soft Drinks to paint Forth Bridge orange as part of new sponsorship deal' one a couple of years ago. Until I remembered the date I almost bought it (the article, not the car). Still, they both pale by comparison to Terry Jones (thanks Nigel) and his flying penguins.
I actually saw an advert for a SOTOX-esque slimming cream on Malaysian telly when I was over there a few years ago. It was on a few times over the course of that afternoon and as far as I could tell the manufacturers were actually expecting people to believe they could trim three inches off their beer gut in half and hour by rubbing gunge on it.

I thought today's Metro's 'new BMW automatically electrocutes any dog daring to pee on it' article... What?! Isn't that just copying the TV "stupid dog" ad campaign with the robot dog? (I forget the car.) Ahem. Jones.

How much of the license fee cash was wasted on this I wonder. Andy There was a bloke on BBC Breakfast this morning talking about the production. Costs were apparently kept to a minimum. Terry Jones' stuff was all greenscreen, whilst the rest was stock footage and, of course, CGI. It's impressive what can be done with computers these days, isn't it?
