I see FPI have many of the Titan trades of the US Marvel at £2.99 so a good time to plug any gaps if folk want them.

The cheap ones at £2.40 are ex-library copies, the good copies start from £32!

I picked up Space Pirates and City of Fear the other week for a fiver each. City is the better of the two, though some of the stories they collect are in an odd order

I got all the paperbacks as they were coming out as combined with a few Collected Comics I saw it as a good way to get everything. This was before I completed the 332 though, now I'd probably just get a select few in hardback, especially as the film seems to be coming off a few of the paperback's covers. Didn't realise Time Wars was rare. I recall a few years back a cheap music/DVD shop selling them (along with others) for £2.50

Dinobot Hunt also appears to be as rare as rocking horse shit. How annoying. My stragey of waiting until they were cheap and remaindered working for the trades of the US stuff, but not the UK ones!

Well, it seems Forbidden Planet ship trades in floppy jiffy bags.
Dammit FP, dammit

You are joking?
A shop which specialises in printed matter sends stuff in jiffy bags?
FFS!
Well, they'll get no money from me.

Really? Well when I get my trades there will be a letter of complaint sent to them. Jiffy bags for books? Arseholes.

Several years ago I managed to pick a load of the Titan trades for £1 each at the Works in Leicester. Other ones in the series I picked up off the net or in Forbidden Planet and, as I've already mentioned I only need Time Wars. I'm not interested in picking up IDW's trade of Time Wars as it won't look right with the rest of my collection.

I only ever saw Target:2006 in the Works. I should have bought a stack of them when I saw them, that would be the birthday present for every friend! :v

Splendid.
My Hardcover arrived in good condition, but my softcover version will arrive tomorrow. Will it be mangled?!
Who can say...the tension rises...

I ordered the £2.99 specials of Legacy of Unicron and Second Generation. The first is somewhere in the post. The second hasn't been sent 5 days after making the order. Not impressed thus far.

Legacy of Unicron arrived in a jiffy bag with no card protection and so was bent into two when delivered. Second Generation not sent yet!
Complaint lodged with FPI. Not using them again!

Yeah, that's what happened to mine They did sent a replacement though and promised to pack it correctly, time will tell! It is really poor for a company who specialises in comics and graphic novels to be unable to pack them correctly, something even the simplest ebayer can do.

I don't normally order comic books or TPB's through the post. On the occasion that I do I use selected shops on Amazon or Ebay and also Steve Bax. Had no problems with anybody I've brought anything from so far.

For the past few days I've been watching a copy of Titan's Time Wars TPB on Ebay. I was gutted when I looked at it a few minutes ago and discovered that the bidding had ended and I had missed out which eventually went for £16.

£16 though isn't too bad a price to pay for it when you consider that its about £55 on Amazon and approx £75 from certain eBayers.

I was watching that too. Regarding the Titan trades I dislike the floppyness of the ones that reprint the UK material but have bit the bullet with Legacy of Unicron and Fallen Angel (won off ebay for £3) as they feature Death's Head so no hope of an IDW reprint so I can't get that stuff any other way. Anything else other than Second Generation* (not convinced IDW will do the earlier UK material) I'll pick up the IDW trades of Space Pirates, Dinobots, Time Wars, etc up at some point. Smaller size but easier to read.

FPI woe continues. No, they won't send out replacement straight away. They want the mangled one back. Which I recycled due to the state of it. Still waiting on them sending the other book, a week after I ordered it (though they took the money straight away).
What a shambolic service. Avoid at all costs.

I returned home to find my replacement copy which I was assured would be packaged properly with cardboard and everything.
Nope, just a jiffy bag again. Christ.
