So here's the thing. It's about a month until AA. Those of us going will all have our budget for spending, whether that be for toys, comics, beer, etc. Any further Transformers related purchases between now and then will eat into that and thus leave less cash for buying £100 MISB Battle Traps when drunk out of our minds!
Can you resist wallet damage between now and AA? Do you have the ability to keep temptation at bay? When you expectedly see that toy/comic/TPB will the Red Haze descend? Or will you say: "NAY! I SAY THEE NAY! I MUST KEEP MY TF MONEY FOR AA!!!!! BEGONE, FOUL TEMPTATION OF THE NIGHT! THY SHALL NOT SINK THY FANGS INTO THE FLESH OF MY RUMP!"
I advise staying away from ebay/toy shops/online stores! Stay away, my friends! Be strong! Stayyyyyy awayyyyyyy.

I voted for buying sausages with impunity.
Life is too short to deprive yourself of what makes you happy in favor of stocking up on little pieces of paper with dead people on them.

The only thing I'm going to be buying that is TF related before AA is current IDW comics and I'm going to keep them to a minimum. Besides last year I spent a ridiculous amount of money of stuff including things that I hadn't intended on buying (cough*Dreamwave comics*cough) at AA. This year I intend to put a cap on my budget unless something else silly telepathically tells me to purchase it!

I'm clearing out stuff at the moment so it's a bit easier to avoid getting new things till AA.

Only stuff I'm buying at the moment is Cheetors (predictably!) although that's partly to expand my collection and partly to expand the toy display for AA anyway...
*wonder if I can claim them back on expenses...?!*

I'm going toy shopping tomorrow after work I have calculated though, that even if my bank does play up, and i dont get paid on the 14th next month (like i'm meat to) then i'll still have like £200 extra for tfs at the con, and if all else fails, i can just buy some toys on the monday (when my monday will definately be in my bank no fail, if it wasnt in on the friday) from that shopping centre in town

I'm both lucky and unlucky that I cant make AA, unlucky, because I want to find me some JAP tf, mainly ones I used to have but stupidly sold.. I'm lucky however that instead of that, im managing my first proper holiday in years to Sweden.
The fact that im not going however means I can feel free to spend spend spend, so I have a Henkei Cyclonus from yahoo JP and an MP Grimlock from Pete on the way..

For the next 2 and a half weeks, I'm abstaining from extra spending now, that way, if i havent been paid for any reason by the 15th, then I'll still have over £300 to spend (but i should be paid, so that'll mean more lol)

I'm going to have to keep an eye on my cash in the run-up to the convention. I'm attending the latest gig by this band I know on the 5th August and a Queen tribute act at Mallory Park on the 8th so I've got to be a little bit cautious with my cash in August.

TransFormers-wise, I don't see me having a problem with not spending until AA. The only things that seem to be around are RotF stuff, which I shall not even consider. However, I will be picking up Watchmen on DVD this weekend, and some ink cartridges for my printer.
Other than that, reckon I'm fine.

Due to lack of space in my bedroom I don't bother buying TF toys in the shops nowadays. I get a few at AA but that will be it for me toy-wise.

I bought TFA Grimlock and Bulkhead (it wasn't the big version though) weekend before last. I doubt I'll buy anything TF or SciFi related beforehand.
I reckon the only large purchase I'll be making before the con is my fortnightly snake food purchase, if I don't succumb to an external DVD/CD burner/player for my netbook so I can watch Transformers and Storm Hawks DVDs.
I'm then heading into London to attend a conference the Tuesday after the con which lasts until Friday (may stick around London for a few days after)
And then there's a scifi conventon in Daventry about three weeks after that
I have to save my money...
