He had twelve posts last time I checked and now, despite making more recent posts he is now on the grand total of zero! Something funny is going on here - and its not even April Fools Day until tomorrow as well!

The situation I had suspected with my job has born out. While they haven't let me go, they have forced a mandatory one month unpaid leave on me. After the month is up I'm to go back in and see if they still have a job for me.
The effects of this are that, downside; I definitely won't be able to print the comic off of my own back, and upside; I now have a lot of free time to work on it properly.

But before people start posting comforting words, I have to say that after letting people know my suspicions last time I've had a number of kind-hearted offers and suggestions. Bottom line, the book is still going to happen. It'll just be in a different form to my original plans.

Aside from this little info dump, I cannot say more because things still need finalizing. But once I've had some comfirmation correspondance, I'll update and let everyone know how things will be from now on.

Well, I've finally had confirmations and whatnot, so I can now divulge the new plan for my comic.

As most of you will know, I was originally planning to write, draw, ink, colour, letter and self-publish my own TransFormers fan-comic and make it available to attendees of the Auto Assembly 2o10 convention this upcoming August, and also offer a limited way of buying copies online for those interested who couldn't make the con.
However, I recently started to hit employment uncertainties which meant I would be unable to afford to print the book myself, and was going to resort to simply making it an online thing, free to view here.

Well the good news is; my strip will indeed be seeing print, just in a somewhat different format.

Y'see, I was e-approached by the Auto Assembly event organizer/co-founder and all around wunderkind Simon Plumbe, and he has offered to have the strip printed in the convention's official magazine-slash-programme The Cybertronian Times.
This is awesome beyond words, as far as I'm concerned, and I can't thank him enough. Seriously.
For one, this means that my strip will actually be getting a far larger print run than I would ever have been able to afford (and, as such, will be seen by a great many more people)! For a second, all the cost, the printing, the business side of it, is now safely out of my hands and I can concentrate on the easy side of simply getting the thing drawn.
Aside from this, responsibilities have also been delegated out. I had never lettered anything before, and was not very confident that I could do the job well. But now this task is going to someone else involved in the mag. I don't know exactly who yet, but I think it might be my buddy Andy Turnbull, who frequently creates his own sci-fi parody web-comic Wierd Without End, so that side of things is in very safe hands.
Another alteration is that, for the mag, I won't be doing any colouring. This is because traditionally, the mag is printed in black and white with limited colour pages at the front and back of the book.
If any of these pages are going to be falling in the colour sections, then I believe those pages will also be offered out to folks who are much better at it than I.

Again, I can't thank Simon and Andy enough for this opportunity. I hope I can do you guys proud.

Is there any news on TMUK's annual fanzine for AA2010 yet? I don't recall reading anything about it here.

After chatting with Ralph and Ed, I had a little bit of a brainwave.

There's still a story I wish to write up, I put it on the backburner due to other projects, BUT do you think there would be appetite for a prose story in booklet form, if maybe I get various people to do illustrations. I could probably hijack work's photocopier and make it free / cheap for costs/charity.

Of course, I know there's a lot of fan stuff coming out this year anyway. What do you guys think.
