It was very impressive work, actually. Nowhere near as cheesy/wanky as it could have been, and the voice acting is remarkable for a fan-effort. Excellent animation for a three-guys-in-their-garage production.

I actually really enjoyed it and agree with Nick that the quality was very good indeed. I can see it possibly being an extra somewhere down the road on a future DVD, but not anytime soon. There was a bit of an uproar within the club when Balancing Act was released. Some members were annoyed that material that was supposed to only be available to members was made available to the general public. It didn't bother me personally, but I can see them holding off for a while at least in the hopes that the same thing dsen't happen again. Balancing Act had some great artwork and colouring, but the story was terrible and it's only getting worse. Imagine the kerfuffle it would cause if something as good as this was released.

Well, I was wrong about the Club holding this back for members only, but the official explanation is that they're using it to try to entice new members. They've also put up bio's online for current members as their exclusive content.

Yes its very close to good feels a bit slow, as if the frame rate is to slow. Also a few more semi professional or better voice actors wouldnt have hurt. Pace might have made more sense if there had been more talking during the fighting.

Nice effort on their part, but it's not that exciting and there doesn't seem to be a point to it. More to the point, the lack of show VAs (beyond David Kaye) is too obvious - Dinobot gets his own long action scene and says nothing, not even his obligatory random growls.

I think the main problem was the sound design: it was very flat and empty, draining life out of many scenes. Especially for a dialogue-light piece, the sound really needs to help sell the action and the scene. Beast Wars had a notably immersive sound design.
I feel bad for kicking it as it's clearly done by some fans in their spare time and is very competant and cost nowt to view, but well, that's my opinion.
