It's Vince DiCola day here as, in the service of science, I compare the scores for Transformers: The Movie and Rocky IV. They sound so similar...yet must be different...nnnggghhhh.

Stuck indoors bored off my tits. I was supposed to be watching the dog while my folks went out for the morning. It's 11am. It's taken over two hours for them to get ready. This kind of thing drives me insane. I'm very much a 'I need to go, I'm out the door in under 5 minutes' type of person.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRFGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Was supposed to go running but the torrential rain here means it's a no go.
Spent the day so far getting some work done for G and posting off ebay stuff. T-25 copies for those who didn't attend AA will be getting packaged and sent out tomorrow or Monday.

Been a bit of a funny week, looking forward to starting work on Monday. Found myself uncontrollably splurging on eBay last night, spending my wages before I've earned them!
Bad Mark, bad...

Can you what? Oh, I see what you mean.
Just spent a satisfying 3 hours raking up cut grass with office colleagues in my Local Nature Reserve (to prevent it decomposing and fertilising the meadow which will change the ecosystem and make it all wrong for seven species of orchids that grow thereabouts) and dumping it on the brambles around the sides to surpress them and provide homes for lizards. My one and only day a year of hard physical labour. (OK, 3 hours this time since we had twice as many volunteers as last year.) Then a guided walk courtesy by Raj the ranger, during which we saw and touched a slow worm. Huzzah! The grasshoppers were also very tame and sociable. Had to take his word for it about the dormice though.

I am currently lain up with a sprained neck. It is rather painful and means that I can't do a great deal of anything (even sit in one position for too long, so I have to keep moving about from owchy sitting position to another owchy sitting position every so often).
Fortunately I have a good GP who has written me a prescription for anti-inflammatory drugs which, coupled with the painkillers I am taking will hopefully put me back in action given a couple of days rest...

When is your interview? What job is it for?
At the conference I've been at this week I drank 8 cups or so of strong filter coffee yesterday. I don't think I've drunk that many in the last five years.
My head is hurting a lot today.

It is to rule the world! Er, I have it written down somewhere. Out of many, many apps it's the only response I've had. It's that or the dole. Yay. Though I havent signed on as such as I can't handle it.

Indoctrinated Gavin in the joys of 'Doctor No' and 'Goldfinger' (both new to him) last night. I left him in the city centre this morning moving in the direction of the heart of the time vortex that is Cardiff Bay. Hopefully he'll plug the rift like Scourge in Time Wars. Or something. I then spent the rest of the day helping RSPB chums in a nature reserve somewhere north of Swansea.
Gavin should be on his way back north to Scotland now, and I have tomorrow free to put my feet up. May check out the 11am showing of 'District 9' at Cineworld after church, see if it's as good as the reviews make out.
Feel better, Karl. Good luck, Ralph.

The spacedeathcold of the week came back with a vengeance today. So probably not the best idea to dart about shops in the pissing rain searching in vain for a jigsaw with either horses or dogs on it (for my mother's birthday).

Ah, jigsaws - I used to love doing them as a youngster something that continued until about five or six years ago when I completed my last Puzz 3D puzzle. I can't find the effort to do a jigsaw nowadays though even though I still have many lying around the house.

Get well soon Doc', Karlos and anyone else who is under the weather.
Had a fab trip. Chester Zoo was great, the rain wasn't too bad. Piglet's faves were the 'Jumpanzees'! Although she was also very interested in the fences involved in containing the animals. We also went to the Acquarium in Chester, which was also good. They have a large tank with Sharks, Stingrays and the like in it, with an underwater tunnel and a large observation window. Piglet was more impressed with the small 'stage' infront of the observation window where she danced and generally put on a 'skit' for all the other folkes trying to take pics of the exotic animals swimming past. Strange child.
Also my new neice was born yesterday! Saw her for the first time today, she makes Piglet look HUGE!
Oh, free comics on offer, including some Marvel Transformers, in stock exchange. Need to get rid!
