Now that the laptop struggles to play DVD's, the straw has broke the camels backs. Looking at prices on replacing the damn thing.

I have deleted the recycle bin by accident from the desktop. I've done this before but can't remember how to get it back. HELP!

If it's XP you're using - it'll be Control Panel > Personalisation Options > Change Desktop icons > Click Recycle Bin Dialog box. Once you've Ok/Applied it should appear on the desktop again.
I think in other versions you can right click on the Desktop to get to the option for changing desktop icons.

Just got back on the train from Cambridge.
Travelled there on Saturday (reading John Buchan's 'Greenmantle' on the way), arrived about 2pm, checked into hotel and spent afternoon wandering around the town. Went into at least six bookshops, ranging from little second-hand ones to the awesome Heffers. Didn't buy anything, but still fun. Then had sausages in mash in a pub, walked by the river and through some parks and generally enjoyed the pleasant weather and nice architecture.
Sunday I had a continental _and_ full English breakfast cooked to order (might as well stuff yourself when it's included in the price), went to Mass, read some more, then at 2pm met the Borkett (andrewbcalculating) and the Bodsworth both of whom I hadn't seen for many a year in Wetherspoons, and chatted/ate/drank the afternoon and evening away, most of the chat focussing on animation, comics and stories in general. When Andrew left me at 9 (with Mel Blanc's autobiography unexpectedly in my possession - so I picked up a book in Cambridge after all!), seven hours had flown past.
Got the train home today after another continental _and_ full English cooked brekkie. Finished the last page of 'Greenmantle' just as we passed through the suburbs of Cardiff.
Many sausages were consumed in the course of this weekend.

well done Ian.
It is now September. This means three important education anniversaries for me:
1) It's TWENTY FIVE years this week since I started secondary school. eeek !
2) It's TWENTY years since I went to sixth form college
3) And at the end of the month it's EIGHTEEN years since I went to University.
I'm feeling very old.

Hmmm. Anniversaries. Two years ago this month I made the worst decision of my life, namely packing in a secure permanent job. That didn't exactly work out well. Balls.

Um...September means for me: 1. I'll be joining the Collector's club later this month 2. My niece should be getting born (d'awwww) 3. Its 11 months til Auto Assembly 4. I'll be moving into my new room 5. I just received my copy of the Allspark Almanac in the mail 6. In two weeks I can start buying things again, since it'll be my next payday after my spending binge at Auto Assembly

I think ultimately it was the right choice, for your health anyway. The road has been a bit rocky in places since but you'll be fine in the end mate.

It was what I choose to do instead that has subsequently been a bad call and has been far worse for my health than that job ever was. -Ralph

Spent half of the night tonight round my sisters flat where I had to assemble a new bed for her. A few bolts later and it was finished (I was going to say a few screws later but that sounds a bit dodgy!). It was however the cleaning up that took the longest. Trying to clean a floor from bits of polystyrene is murder if there's a lot of it.
