I'd just like to say, I've been dipping in and out of the Underbase on and off when moments allow, and it's absolutely freakin' BRILLIANT!!!

I must confess that I too have just spent an evening updating some Underbase files. I apologise deeply if that's going to cause anyone any work, as it looks like it might well do...

I've just added an entry for The Very Last Line in Earth War but when I click on mine or Richard's name, it hasn't registered that we wrote this story. How can I correct this and and something similar with the characters that featured in The Very Last Line? At the moment if I click on Battletrap or Weirdwolf, it doesn't show that they appeared in the story.
Thanks in advance.

I can't remember how it works. But I bet John can... Martin

I think only John can edit the story listings for each author.

I'm unpinning this thread. Sadly the wiki appears defunct as url no longer works

I was looking for the Underbase earlier and realised it had disappeared. Fortunately, an Web Archive copy of the Underbase Wiki exists, though it is incomplete. On a related note, can anyone answer a question about Eugenesis for me? I've just finished reading it for the first time and can't understand the significance of the Quintesson-bidding plotline in the epilogue. Is this storyline picked up and explained elsewhere?

There's a chance the wiki might still be there under the server urls even if the domain name is unregistered. Calling John Cullen.....

I've been having some problems with the account the domain was registered under - basically I couldn't renew it so ive been waiting for it to expire so I could repurchase it.... Which I've just done. So fear not not Underbase fans it will be back shortly.

Right I've got my domain back, and repointed it at the website. Just need for to wait for the DNS settings to propagate around the internet and theunderbase.co.uk should be back. That usually takes about 24 hours. Then I can finally add Andrew's story to the list EDIT: it's back already for me. Can this thread be pinned again Unky Phil?

And I've added the last 3 years worth of guides to the database, so the story listings on characters should be up to date. I've been very lax!

Quick update Undebase fans! I’ve only just found out the company I hosted this with (7host.com) has gone bust - I realised I haven’t actually paid for the hosting for 3 years and wondered why they hadn’t contacted me for payment. Looks like they’ve been gone a while.
Funny thing is the site is still up! I don’t know how or why but there you go. I doubt that’s a permanent arrangement so I’ll move it when it becomes a problem. Fortunately I have a full back up of the database. I guess the servers were sold but the site traffic is so low no ones noticed it’s there?
So if it disappears one day you know why.

Hmmm. The Underbase seems to be down. The server can be pinged, but there's an IIS error when you visit the site. Is anyone able to contact monsieur Cullen?
Also, is there an electronic copy of the Roberts, Lawrence & Dallas Transmasters UK story 'Kingdom of the Blind' online? I have a paper copy, which has been stored in a plastic wallet for the past 20 years, but notice the paper is beginning to smell a bit.
