What we did get on screen was horrendous though! Superman as deadbeat dad who stalks his old girlfriend. Yayyyyy.

True but can you imagine the same film with Nicolas Cage as Superman.
Now try and sleep tonight!

It would still be bad, but at least it would have been (unintentionally) funny. Incidentally, Cage was on a 'play or pay' deal for Superman, so he still got paid even though the film fell through.

I'm surprised Johnny Depp was'nt considered for the Superman role I say fair-play for trying something different with the costume, but that 'plycra' looked pretty bad. Using two primary colours is visually difficult on a live-action backdrop, with even Lois & Clark poking fun at it. At least in Smallville Clark Kent now has a 'stop-gap' costume and its only acceptable because its black and he has a trenchcoat instead of a cape. ===KEN

I watched a little of Bangkok Dangerous on Sky last night. Ye gods I remember when Nicolas Cage could actually act. What happened to him?
