That is a pretty shocking attitude for the DWP to have. Sadly, it doesn't entirely surprise me. It is something that you run into throughout that sector sometimes. Given that they exist to provide assistance to people who are in a difficult period of their lives their attitudes to the whole shebang can be pretty poor sometimes.
There are good people out there doing their damndest but regretably there are the other kind as well, and it is them that do the damage.

It's a system built on punishment rather than helping. Bear in mind we live in a society which does not like people who are out of work. The tabloids usually run a hate story at least once a week.

So bored at work today that I decided to make anagrams in my head to pass the time. I discovered that Paris Hilton is an anagram for Shit Pan Roli ( yer, I know its not a good one but it amused me).

Unsurprisingly, the week came and went with no job news. It's what I've come to expect. Got past sift stage 1 with another place though and the next hurdle is to get past the phone interview stage next Wednesday.

The local band I turn up to see is playing again tonight in Leicester. They've reached the final in the clubs Battle of the Bands contest and I'm going to give the band my support. My family however doesn't approve of me going there. When I told my father that I was going there he commented 'what? That place full of druggies?' I asked him how he came to that conclusion and he said that my brother had told him to which I replied 'how does he know? He's never been the place either!'
It was the same story when I was going to Auto Assembly this year. My father didn't approve of me going there because he claimed that Birmingham had a plague-like infestation of Swine Flu!

It does have a lot of strip clubs though, so you can still catch something nasty.

Yes, but being the sausage-fest that is AA, it would only be man-boobies.

I only told my mother I was going there like a month before hand ^.^ she told me all the bad stuff of course: Mum: You'll die in your sleep there Me: o.O "The will all rob you" Mum:"£40!!! That's outragious!!!" Me: how?

As I've already mentioned I went to see a local band play last night. They were in the final of the clubs Battle of the Bands contest and, although I don't know if they won they did have some pretty stiff competition.

I also went to one of the takeaways opposite Nostalgia and Comics and had something but I can't remember what the name of it was.
