It's that time of year again folks.
Karl, Ralph and myself were discussing what to do for Auto Assembly 2009 and we've hit upon an idea for a magazine celebrating 25 years of the Transformers. Entitled T-25 the magazine will take each year in turn and picking some memorable aspect of that particular year as the focus. Naturally there is a page limit but that will be in the guidelines.
Aside from ourselves we have Nick Davidson, Martin, Graham, Phil and Matt on board and possiby a few other super-secret contributors.
So if you are interested here are the important bits:
GUIDELINES:
At least one page of A4 but no more than three pages of A4 will be given to each individual year so please bear that in mind when writing. Naturally if you want illustrations or photographs to go along with your work this leaves less space for text.
Content wise it's up to you what you'd like to do with your section, it can be a critique, prose story, comic-strip, some entertaining anecdotes. If you need artists/photographs there should be enough on the Hub on standby so just give an appropriate shout out.
The magazine is meant to be a celebration, The Transformers have been around nearly twenty five years and some of us have been following them for even longer so there has to be something we are enjoying about the magazine. We don't need blinkered cheerleading but we're not looking for slagging things off, we're keying in on the fun things here.
EDITING
If you don't have the time or don't feel up to producing something but still fancy getting involved we will be needing an army of proof-readers to make sure things are alright.
THE BIG SERIOUS BIT
Apologies if I come across as a bit of a twat here but there's no way around it. The final deadline is the 31st of MAY. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS, if it's not in on time it won't be featured. Given the format of the magazine, the editing and design phase is going to be extremely time consuming and as such we need everything in by then to make sure we meet print deadlines.
If you are interested in contributing let me know by either posting here or by emailing me at andrewdturnbullATgooglemailDOTcom.
