Excellent!
Poor Buzzsaw never got much attention in the comics and cartoons, did he? Well, aside from taking down Omega Supreme that one time!

I always liked Buzzsaw in the cartoon, just because he was so rare. sort of a wierd YAY THERE HE IS! moment.

That is rather nice. I like that angular take on him. Good going.

Trailbreaker is inked and looking pretty good. Just need to find a scanner. What is the deadline for this?

What is the deadline for this? Yeah, that's a good question, I still need to buy a pencil. And some paper.

You've got about six weeks.
Well, according to Andy's post about the whole project that's been flagged as an announcement all this time.
Six weeks? Shit!

Cheers.
I'd first thought about doing the toy version but Martin got in there first with Ironhide so I started doing the traditional Sunbow version, but got to thinking about image composition and started thinking that the two toy based versions would work well on the page if on different sides of the image but roughly the same position so went back to it.
Done entirely in Adobe Illustrator!

Ta, also claimed Bluestreak tonight. Glad nobody picked him I was secretly hoping to bag him too!

Very nice. Even without colour it's easy to tell which is the doctor and which the security officer, by facial expression, build and stance.

Cheers.
The stance was the hardest thing to get, I'd toyed with him holding the doohickey from The Enemy Within until I settled on him just resting with his hands on his launcher. Yeah, your Ironhide has his shoulders squared and creating that air of authority to him whereas Ratchet looks much more relaxed and at ease.

I like that picture. I tried to have a go at drawing Thundercracker a few weeks ago based on my G1 Starscream toy (the two moulds are identical as you all know) but it turned out looking like a cross between a flat 2D image and a badly drawn 3D image so I gave up on it halfway through.

A lot of people seem to be aiming for Toy Accurate pictures. Neither of mine are, hehe...

I think the differing approaches and styles will make a damned fine final image.

Is two the limit per artist, or do you wish to see my... ...Huffer? Can I just bring this back to people's attention? I've seen it, it's cool, if nobody else wants to do him..?

I'd certainly welcome it, I don't think we'll be getting many latecomers now.

My second outing for the Class of 1984. Again I was lucky enough that another favourite character of mine was left alone so I could nab Bluestreak. Now with that in mind I decided having slavishly followed the toy design with Ratchet to go go for the comic/cartoon model and of course an entirely digital free approach (save for scanning and contrast adjustments) as well. Tried for an inking feel closer to the early issues of the US Transformers comic as a nod to the recently deceased Frank Springer. Although inking with the brushpen freehand does mean there is a touch of the Andy Wildman in there, albeit my hamfisted version. Naturally in keeping with his comic/cartoon persona he appears to be talking at someone. Guess we’ll find out who when the picture is assembled. Done with my alvin pro-matic leadholder and pentel brush pen. Andy

You know (and without trying to hint at anything), it amuses me to imagine him stood talking to my Gears you saw.

Not quite sure how the characters are all going to be assembled when it's all done. I have a few ideas though regarding a few characters.
