When I was young, I had a pinkish 'baddie' Rock Lord - I remember sitting in the back seat of my dad's car and playing with it. My dad produced a bag of Pork Scratchings (or something) and offered me one - I bit into it and it was full of a fatty substance which instantly made me feel ill. I forever connect Rock Lords with feeling uneasy.
Edit: Upon doing some research - the Rock Lord in question was Sabrestone.

It is AMAZING.
I saw it in the cinema back in the day! There was an intermission for the ice-cream lady to come round!

The Gobots were the poor mans Transformers. I actually watched a bit of that film on Youtube ages ago but turned it off after about half an hour due to its dullness!
Although I don't understand what some dink reject transformers has to do with Ralph hitting 12K.

The Gobots were the poor mans Transformers. Surely Voltron was the "poor man's Transformers"? Gobots was just Machine Robo doing a bad attempt at a Gaijin accent :-) Congrats on the 12K Ralph. Once more you are far and away the mark-setter for the Hub. Karl

I bigger job I know, but I would enjoy a Stardub commentary track dubbed over the film.

We must petition someone to release a DVD of the movie with additional commentary from Stardub!

How much are the rights? Surely we could all chuck in a fiver and then publish it ourselves?

How much are the rights? Surely we could all chuck in a fiver and then publish it ourselves? Hasbro and Hannah Barbara own the rights to Gobots I think, and well...HB don't really release their cartoons on DVD's, and Hasbro wont want to release an enely to Transformers on DVD (yeah...cos it would really affect toy prices...Gobots havent been sold new in like 20 bob years)

Hanna Barbera does release some of their cartoons on DVD but usually only the classics like Tom and Jerry and Scooby Doo. It's probably a good job too because some of their cartoons from the 80's were absolutely rubbish including an update to the Popeye legend which was imaginatively called Popeye & Son!
