Rate the film, as a sequel to the previous film, from completely without merit (zero stars) to perfect (five stars).

As a sequel and a film in its own right, I'd say 3. It doesn't really build on any of the characters or situations the first establishes, and it goes off on its own way (introducing the Fallen as the lead Decepticon, Transformers being on Earth for ages, the Matrix as the new McGuffin etc). Which is interesting since it seems the writing team is mostly the same.

I was tempted to give it one star for the utterly fantastic use of the word Bugger, but even that couldn't save it. Nil Points!

I think I'll hold off on rating it, as I preferred the first film after a second viewing....

I really liked it, except towards the end where it felt a bit rushed. Either that or I was cutting the blood supply to my head for holding it at an odd angle for a long time... so thats why i have to see it again, it was one big blurr **** 4 stars still ****

I'm prepared to offer it one star, for giving us Walking-Stick-Waving-Get-Off-My-Robo-Lawn Geriatric Jetfire, and for those brief moments where the music score was good (mostly when it was reorchestrating material from the previous films score).

I didn't think much of the score for this film to be honest. A lot of it was painfully generic (and some of it just painful). It was far inferior to the score for the previous film, which is one of my favourite movie scores in a good while.

Average rating of 2.4 stars so far, after 20 votes.
No, I won't be buying the score this time. The only times I noticed it were when it reminded me of the music in the first film, which I already have on CD.

The score made little impression on me. It was lost amongst the clanks and whirrs of the sound design.
I would buy the score of the first film if I could find the CD for less than silly money. Not seen it cheaper than fifty quid.
