Readable enough prequel novel to Revenge of Fallen Dave. Typical disposable tie-in fare. Nowt amazing, but a breezy read for a couple of hours. It's the kind of thing where evil robot characters characters spout off about "ahahahaha, you may have killed me but our cause will win!" while Prime runs them through with a big sword. And there are some hilarious cliche characters, ie. Smart But Sexy Japanese Chick who can Fight And Be Clever and Stoic Russian Bloke who Knows Everything. And see if you can spot the doomed red-shirt robots. Clue: they don't have a toy.
Plot: White Soldier Bloke and Black Soldier Bloke from the first movie charge round the globe with their Autobot chums fighting evil robots until the pages run out, while being careful not to activate the movie plot too early. Ho ho.
And an eeeeeeeeeeevil Italian human collaborator turns up when the plot is running out. You know he is eeevil because he smokes a special cigarette laced with "narcotics" and has a special compound and everything and wants to Betray The Human Race.
There is a very silly bit in the Coliseum in Rome which made me smile.
Plus it has a really good bit in Peru.
