I really must see if I can get the Myrmidon's Dedication Plaque quote to that... This weather has caused something inexplicable and unexpected to happen. The temperature has risen in my vestibule. I should explain, for those who don't know, the vestibule in my house previously appeared to be some kind of thermodynamic miracle. No matter how much energy was directed at it, none of it seemed to be lost to heat within the vestibule - and indeed, no heat was able to leach into the room which remained at a constant (low) temperature. Apparently the temperatures outside are high enough that they have overridden its ability to dissipate the energy... Mind you, considering that I walked out of the house this afternoon to take a walk to the bottle bank and felt like I'd walked into a furnace I'm not entirely surprised. Karl

Too hot tonight. Windows open, fans on. Blistering. Can't sleep in this, but found the Floyd on BBC 4.
So not all bad.

It has rained, and not just rained, it has bucketed down. The temperature has dropped precipitously, and is forecast to sink towards 18C over the next few days.
At last! For the first time in a week I have carted my bedding back upstairs and might just be able to sleep somewhere other than the living room floor!

Full TW here in Pig Hill this morning. LOTS of Water. Why couldn't it have been weeing it down at 11pm last night when next door's 20 year old girls had many friends over in the garden while their parents were away making lots of noise?

Lashing it down here too. It wasn't meant to rain until mid-afternoon according to the weather report I saw last night!

Wanging it down here in God's Country. Me and the Childrens have just been out for a play in it. Wellies and brollies! We also put our first kitchen waste into our new compost bin! Which the childrens had previously been using as a wendy house....

Yeah it's battering down here.
Susie is unimpressed as it means no walk.
I do not think I will get much peace today, for she will be quite boisterous.

If it is any consolation the rain stopped here this afternoon - yep, it was hurling it down when I was out, and then dry when I was in doing things... Kind of figures.
