Okay, so say you really did do what Crazy Pete (his official designation from hereon in) is contemplating and rid yourself of your entire Transformers collection... and then you had a change of heart afterwards!
Which Transformer would you re-acquire first? And why?

Ah well, I got this!
My first re-aquistion was Victory Leo, why, because well, I'm obsessed with the Victory series and I never had this guy.
I then got my hands on a Computron, because it was going cheap.
Going for the '84 cars that havent been reissued now!

What I'd want back would be the actual toys I had sold, a replacement Sludge wouldn't be the same as my Sludge even thought my Sludge has such a floppy waist keeping it standing is near impossible.
It would have to be something that encapsulated what I love about Transformers even when the sentimental attachment to the actual childhood toy is absent. So something like Actionmaster Thundercracker, I have what is soon to be Blueshifts TC sat in front of me at it is ludicrously enjoyable. Or else maybe something like Tako Tank, who doesn't want an Octopus tank and bike. Plus it comes with one of my all time favourite moulds in Ikard.
And yes I'm aware I've chosen to restart my collection with two toys that aren't strong proponents of the transforming, robots in disguise concept. I think thats were my collection would go though. After that I'd want heinlad.

I would go for a Metroplex, as a knackered Metroplex sans bits is all that remains of my childhood TF collection so has great sentimental value.

well my mother threw out like 50 of my original toys a fair few years back, and I've started regaining that collection now :3 (thanks alot to Auto Assembly) but I think the one I'm most happy with reaquiring is G2 Megatron  |

It'd prob be what I call 'Masterpiece Prowl', Binal Tech Alert's body with Binal Tech Prowl's head, with Reprolabels completing the job. Super Prowl, Baby!
