Well done Andrew.
There will be many shite films and banter to allay the fears. Perhaps a Youtube video or two as well!
BEWARE INTERNETS TURN AND BURN STAND UNITED!!!

I am actually scared of this thread's title O.O
I might spend this week trying to watch the Gobots series on Youtube (if its there) after work and before bed, and I might go visit my new niece myself some time this week (I has a teddy to give her :3)

You may recall I'm missing a couple of items in the post .... one of the eBay sellers concerned mailed me the proof of postage for a parcel which has been returned to him saying It had been KILLED OFF stating that THE ADDRESSEE HAS GONE AWAY. The address that I sent it to was the one supplied by ebay which was (correct address for Phil's DFiS). " So RM have been bouncing my parcels ?? WTF is going on ?

Oh look, I managed to blunder in here. Want to wish The Doctor all the best with the phone interview this week. Fingers crossed!
This week I get to replace yet another part of my most critical machine in the lab, in the increasingly desperate hopes of finding out what the hell is wrong with it.

Honestly, really. Still, I suppose it's only to be expected in a thread with this title. Looks nice, Andrew. I look forward to seeing the tidy photos in due course. Martin

I got into work this morning and found on the changing room doors a notice that some of the workers are not happy with. When we are walking around upstairs (canteen, changing rooms etc.) we have to wear these cheap plastic shoes that we all dub 'welly-shoes' and we have to wear them before we go downstairs into the factory to put on our actual white wellington boots and our white overalls. Up until today we have always kept these in our lockers upstairs when we are wearing our own outdoor shoes, trainers etc. en-route to going home but now the gaffers have told us that we can't do that anymore and have to keep them in another changing room on some equally cheap plastic racks along with everybody else's welly-shoes. The continual hiring of agency workers means that these new starters go into this changing room and just pick up any pair of welly-shoes to wear and some people have had trouble in the past of coming into work and finding their own welly-shoes missing (myself included). When that happens we have three choices:
1) Wear somebody else's welly-shoes regardless of that person having a potential foot infection 2) Walk downstairs along the wet floor in our socks 3) Wait upstairs for what seems like ages until the laundry room attendant comes and gives said person a new pair of welly-shoes
None of the options are exactly promising but we will have to choose one of them very soon because it is guaranteed that an agency worker will come in one morning and wear my welly-shoes.

Ah, so cute! The new piece of equipment solved the problems I was having with the main microscope, but it also means that data on the fixed machine doesn't line up too well with the old stuff. Damn you Science.

Excellent news, Ken.
At work we have to produce something, call it X, by date B. It can't be begun until date A. There is a fixed number of weeks between A and B. Such is the nature of time.
It is the policy of the people I work for that in producing such things as X, we must do X1, X2 and X3 in sequence. X1, X2 and X3 each take a set amount of time. These amounts of time add up to more weeks than exist between A and B.
Apparently we have been managing to produce things like X up until now and met our deadlines, because nobody knew we were supposed to do X3, and we've been getting away with not doing it.
By poking in the wrong places, I have stirred up an irate person today who is very cross that no-one has been doing X3 up until now.
My boss comes back from leave on Monday and will have the wonderful surprise of having to make a command decision about which policy we are not going to comply with. This will probably affect everything our organisation does from now on.
That'll teach me to poke around and uncover things when we were all operating quite happily in blissful ignorance.
Oh well.

Well the good Doctor has not long left my abode after visiting for a few days. Young Nick made it through for a spell as well.
Key points to take from the week:
The Unexplained Channel on Sky is quite frankly the channel for all the Hub to see. It had a film called The Freakmaker starring Donald Pleasance and Tom Baker in which Tom Baker totally ruined a midget's birthday party and a rabbit was fed to a tree. Some of you may have received texts from myself and the Doctor regarding these breakthrough cultural events.
Battle of the Rock Lords is a rare cartoon gem in that there was no double-entendre's to be found, but a nice line in punnery.
Dawn of the Dread Force is by far and away one of the most generic and shite comics of all time.
Beast Wars Neo toys are far too frustrating to transform. Damn you Penguin robot chap!!!!
Titan Transformers #5 was a pants read, but that damn free pda thing was fun. Ralph now wants a blackberry!

Also:
Cntrl - Alt - Kill seems to be the default command for Steven Seagal.
Jason Statham should be the next Batman. Read any Batman dialogue in the style of the Statham to see what I mean. The Dark Knight Returns especially.

Statham is just brilliant!!! With some hairplugs installed he'd be great as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Last I heard, he is considered to play Daredevil in an upcoming reboot.
I also need to see Battle of the Rock Lords! It's been a 23 or so years wait and still never managed to acquire the film.

Oh yes, and three young women from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints approached me, while myself and the good Doctor were heading back from seeing Nick off. They asked me if I knew what the purpose of life was.
