Whilst everyone else is discussing getting rid of Transformers, I'm thinking of buying some more. I'm unsure wether these items have a place in my collection.
Universe Legends Rodimus I have Classics Hot Rod already, but it is a new mould in the Classics2.0 line... So hrm.
Universe Deluxe Acid Storm I have all the other planes based on this mould, so it feels incomplete without him. But it is just another version of the same mould.
Universe/ROTF Superion Universe/ROTF Bruticus Maximus I have Classics Devastator, so these guys would fit in nice. But I don't normally go for repaints of older toys when considering purchases in the Classics 2.0 line.
Animated Deluxe Electrostatic Soundwave Hrm, I have the first Soundwave, so I'd really only be getting it for Ratbat.
Device Label USB Ravage Device Label USB Hub Broadcast Would both look great with Music Label Soundwave, expensive though.
G2 Blades I hear these Protectobots chaps are pretty desirable, and I'd love a Blades mould to go with my reissue Metroplex from last year.
Please put forwards your arguments for/against buying the above items.

Easiest way to sum it up for yourself. 1) Do you want them? 2) Can you imagine spending the money on something else instead? If the answer to 1) is yes, and 2) is no, buy them! I personally have decided that if I see somethign and I want it, it shall be bought. Fortunately (or not) that pretty much means I want stuff that isnt movie lineup so have to spend more money

Universe Legends Rodimus, if you like the legends line and can get it at a good price might be worth while.
Acid Storm I really like the toy in these colours, but I dont think your missing out by not having it. Also I dont think the camo pattern really sits that well alongside any of the other jets.
Not a fan of the Energon combiners. The fan made hands and feet improve the look to me but not enough to want to pick either set up. Superion and bruticus are probably better looking toys though than Devastator. If you find them cheap, I think Superion has been spotted as low as £15, might be worth while.
Soundwave. I too want Ratbat, probably wont pay full price, but if it does make it over here odds are it wont be long before someone has it on sale.
Device labels? Soundwave was well worth the money to me, I'll have to see what price they go for.
G2 Blades. Why not!

You seem to be implying that G2 Blades isn't readily available for all of us.

Was it not Cullen who bidded on eBay for a G2 Streetwise? I just presumed auctions like that come along all the time. What did he bid again? £10?

If you have enough money for a G2 Blades, then I can't see why you wouldn't want to get any of the others!

Nah that is crazy money. Maybe £15.005p
If you have any G2 Protectobots though, I'll gladly swap one for a beat-up rocklord that I use to throw at stray dogs

The G2 Protectobots where rare - but the Stunticons should be harder to find.
That we only got the jets in the UK - can't remember about the Combaticons.

Surely they can't be that rare?? Doesn't anyone have a G2 Blades they can sell me? I'm happy to pay the going rate if it's MOSC.

Actually they are that rare. There were only a few produced and some fellow bought them up. They've been on ebay since then about 3 or 4 times and they would sell for a large, large price.
Personally, I would advise you to hold out and keep your fingers crossed for an Encore
Defensor.

If an Encore Defensor is released, we can wish for an eHobby Guard City as well.
I say that only because I like the idea of a blue-not-red Blades.

Blue Blades would go awesome with Metro Titan, right? Anyway, in case you hadn't guessed I was aware of the G2 Protectobots thing. I put him on the bottom as I didn't expect anyone to take me seriously. So yeh, anyone got any more opinions on the other figures I listed? Another reason I'm a little phnerrrr about the Energon combiner repaints is that Silverbolt and Onslaught have been redone as Voyagers, so, hrm. Grrrrrr. Oh yah, found this... www.seibertron.com/news/view.php?id=16066Silverbolt has dodgy knees. Ta.

A Blades is vital for getting the most out of Metroplex, IMHO. Cosmos will do at a push, but a helicopter is better.

Just to check... Are the Energon combiner repaints availble only in the ROTF packaging in the UK, or have they been found over here in Universe packaging?
Ta.
